Coincidentally, we went to B00ts today on our circuit walk around town - specifically to buy branded bath gel that was cheaper there than anywhere else. The only other products I've bought from them regularly are branded make-up, specifically for the points as the prices are much of a muchness across the board. Have always spent the points on meal deals for work guess this means instead of 4 meals a year, I'll be getting 3 for the same spend - grrrr!!!

I don’t use B0ots much as we don’t have a local one and they seem quite expensive for some things. When I do use them I go via top cash back so get a bit extra that way as well as the points. I guess with the postage that might not help though! Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

Hey all - interesting to hear the different takes on B00ts - I admit it crossed my mind to wonder whether they are struggling a bit financially hence the apparently drop in benefits on the card, but thinking about it more it seems like an attempt to drive people towards looking harder at the ordinary own brand items - let’s be honest there is probably a crossover in most of the main products isn’t there, so there is probably a fair bit of scope for prompting change? I pretty much only shop in there for specific items these days - generally branded and only ever when they are cheaper than they would be elsewhere, and not anything I’ll be swapping for own brand, so the new regime is going to do me any favours!Viewing happened as planned this morning - thanks again to all for the positive vibes! Not expecting any feedback this side of next week so we’re trying to put it out of our minds for the time being. The place was sparkling clean and looked pretty good I think - sun was still just about out as well which makes a real difference to how it looks so it’s just down to the viewers now. Fingers remain crossed…
Grocery shopping done as planned today - we took the chance to be out when the viewing happened by combining a bit of a walk with the visit to T’s - £24.13 there, sticking rigidly to the list aside from a cheeky pack of potato stick crisps for me (I love them - they’re a favourite treat!). Then this afternoon I added a few more steps by wandering to Al’s and back - got the sharing pack crisps we like, a couple of boxes of seeded oatcakes, a couple of boxes of tampons (their own brand 69p a box are the equal of far more expensive branded ones in case anyone wants an MSE tip! By a strange twist of fate a lemon Swiss roll from their posh range decided it wanted to come home with me too - apparently according to the box it serves 8 but frankly I don’t fancy it’s chances much! 😂 Anyway that was another £6.27 but £1.38 of that will be coming from my account.Got to the gym yesterday morning as planned - I’ve already changed my signature to reflect - another good session with increased loading or reps on pretty much everything so that felt good. Not feeling quite so good today though I confess - more like everything is slowly seizing up! We also had our planned Chinese takeaway last night - it’s not cheap these days by any stretch, but it was seriously tasty! (And as MrEH said, we did need some more of their plastic tubs too!) it will definitely be more of an occasional treat going forwards though as I can’t see the prices coming back down any time soon.
Aside from that, all ticking along. Banks checked and all fine - I’ll sort the credit card out in the next few days but it’s got a low balance this month because the grocery spending has been going on our debit cards for cashback. I’ve already done the transfer for the airshow tickets I booked. Interest paid this morning on one of our fixed term savings accounts too - always nice to see the totals head upwards with no intervention from us! I do need to do some housekeeping around some of our savings accounts at some stage - it’s frustrating with rates dropping after a year in so many cases these days. That’s about it at the moment I think - the garage rent and service charge will go out on Wednesday, along with the payment for the 7% regular saver - and as I’ve got the new figures for the garage rent for the next year I’ll be able to alter the standing order amount after that. Still nothing from the council on the service charge amounts though.Ticking over…🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Ha, I too laughed at your Swiss roll serving 8. Last night two of us shared an Easter egg which apparently contained 16 portions. Sixteen!! 😂😂
Fingers and toes still crossed for the viewers!5
