I'm off Twitter too, but I was reminded earlier of the 'gender pay gap bot' which retweets companies' IWD tweets and adds the gender pay gap for the institution, along with whether this has improved in the last year 😂 Causes chaos every year 😂Live the good life where you have been planted.

Good lord - you chatty lot! How lovely to check in and find so many visitors though!
RS, milann - yep - I keep reminding myself that we walked straight into the place and "knew" when we viewed it - and someone else could just as easily do the same! If it was our "the one" it will be someone elses too!
Cheery & Elisheba I LOVE Twitter accounts like that - and I'd completely forgotten about the gender pay gap one so just went to look - one of the first showing is one where they've called them out for the pay for women being lower - and the original tweet has now been deleted! Joking aside, it's still depressing that the overwhelming majority are negative though. Redo I do take the point that the stats don't always accurately reflect the facts, though.
Thanks to everyone else who popped in with good vibes for the viewing as well - it's nice to feel that our viewers will be getting a little virtual nudge from you lot!
All moderately quiet here right now - I did indeed knuckle down to some airshow booking yesterday including what ended up being quite expensive Airtattoo tickets as I've gone for a bit of a premium option. It's a package we've talked about before, two friends had already committed to it and so I decided to go for it too - it'll be interesting to experience if nothing else, and might give me some better/different viewpoints to the usual. (Also with luck gives me access to FAR nicer loos than the general admission option!) It also gives me the option to go in on arrival or departure days if I want - and as I was definitely planning on doing at least one of those that is a bonus too. Also booked the Shuttleworth season opener (which a load of pals are going to as well) so that at least gets me started. Did a quick tot up of "funds needed" for now-planned stuff and right now the airshow account can take the straight - I'll probably try to direct some personal account surplus to it over the next few months though, to bolster it a bit further, and it can also get what would usually be my contribution to my own "fun" pot as that's pretty well filled at the moment.
Had a brief discussion with MrEH around extra funding needed for the holiday pot this morning - this has come about because of last year's holiday being late (September) and this year's being back in our usual sort of timescale, so there is a several-month shortfall to account for. Currently my thinking is that if we avoid using any more from the monthly saver feeder account then the money left in there can be used - the timing would be right too as we'll know by then whether it will be needed or not. It might still need a little extra found though - I'll run back through the budget properly.
Banks checked and all OK - I have just done a wee bit of housekeeping and closed an old savings account in my sole name as the interest rate is rubbish, I now use a different account for the purpose that one used to serve, and it's had 9p in there for the last few months which quite frankly looked a bit lonely! So the 9p plus the interest has been transferred to the airshow fund - it al helps and that 23p will make, well, pretty much no difference really!
I have made a start on the week's shopping list and will need to do a meal plan too - might try to get the weekly shop in Al's this week, but will see how that looks once I have everything sorted out as I'll need to get into a T's for something specific at some stage anyway.
Just seen the email from B00ts regarding changes to the advantage card terms too - it's going to 10% off their own brand products but only 3 points per £1 spent - not sure if that will work out well for me or not as for various reasons when I spend in there it is mostly on branded items where there isn't a suitable own-brand alternative. Having said that, I don't shop in there that much these days anyway! Anyone else seen it and had any thoughts about whether it would encourage them to spend, or not?🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

After two days break your diary had gone mad! I have emailed our regional Coop membership people this morning as I have a very old card that I swipe when I shop there but no on-line account. I feel the need to upgrade it now as I don't get any correspondence or offers at the momentSave £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £4863.32 out of £6000 after May (81.05%)

I've just received the Boots email. I don't shop there much but when I do it's usually for own brand stuff. It won't affect me (buy make up - was that a pig flying past!), but interesting that No. 7 brands (which included more than I expected) aren't included in the 10% off - imagine that will really annoy a lot of people.Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

I too received the email. At first I was a bit cheesed off with the reduction to 3 points /£1 but when I thought about it a bit more I remembered that I have been buying a branded product in bulk twice a year to use up my points balance, so I will go and find the cheapest supplier. The only other item I buy from them is branded so I will get the discount.
I do think it will stop many people shopping with them. The 2 boots stores localish to us look like they are spreading out a limited amount of stock and in one of these stores they have closed the pharmacy.
