DVD rental through the post is a complete ripoff in the UK. Netflix in the USA is an amazing deal - $8.99 per month for unlimited disks and you can stream movies, tv episodes, etc for free! New released are limited for streaming, but the fact that it's there is great.

I'm not normally one for complaining about rip-off Britain, but this in one area in which we really get crapped on!0 -
Hi,
I know Tesco DVD rental is powered by Lovefilm, but does it offer the same 'watch now' function as Lovefilm does, allowing you to stream some movies and series online rather than being sent the DVD of them?0 -
they are offering a 1mth free trial!

Hi did anyone sign up for the Tesco dvd rental with the 1000 (I think) clubcard points as plugged by Martin (God!) in Feb? I have tried to follow the links but the thread seems to have been updated to most recent Tesco "loophole".. just wondered what the rules are re cancelling after the 3 month "trial period" ie when and how etc!
Hope someone saved this info, thanks in advance

"Stop press! GET 1,000 Tesco clubcard points (worth £40) on DVD rental. Ends 14 March. New customers to Tesco DVD rental can get 1,000 Tesco points when they signing up for a minimum of three months via this special link. Convert points into Tesco rewards & they're worth £40 if you'll use them. This a great deal, as Tesco is already the cheapest provider. If you've used Lovefilm before you can't do this. For full details, read the deals note Boost Tesco Points"
Did everyone who signed up for this get their points? I just got my clubcard statement and I didn't get them :-(0 -
Just to update on my last post - I have spoken to Tesco and the points have been added - they just narrowly missed this quarter's clubcard statement and will be on the next.0
