Love cottage garden style planting, just so beautiful. Enjoying the peace and beauty of dusk is a spring and summer treat that feeds and calms the soul. Love the end of day cuppa in the garden…somehow makes it clearer to think.paydbx2025 #26 £890/£5000 . Mortgage start £148k June 23 - now £138k.

Thanks HSL and WD
GP has just rung. He's made the referral for the bone scan so that's something at least. He was 15 minutes late though - so I now need to rush around and finish getting ready and get off to work. He asked my weight and worked out my bmi and all those super pleasant things....
My mortgage has gone out so now owe around £657 less.
My oven has its intermittent temperature fault again. I bought a part over a year ago and DD now has a multimeter - so maybe she'll fit it. Otherwise may ask handyman if he can help or call out a home appliance company.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

I am still bang in the middle of the overweight of BMI even though I have lost 2 stone!
Got more important things to think about frankly!

Thanks Beanie. You are doing well. I am pretty far into the 40s when it comes to BMI so not great at all.
I nipped to Mr A on the way home and got my prescription. I also spent a £2 voucher on two packs of clementines.
I need to work out when I'm next planning a chunk of time off. I want to try and spread it more evenly through the year this time although I feel so tired despite my break and despite the bank holidays that I really want to have lots now! I find it can be so 'dead' at work during school holidays its hard to achieve things as you need others to have input etc.
I still need to answer Sunday's letter so I can get an appointment to start meds. I'll have my tea first and then hopefully have a stab at it.
Hope you are all doing well.

Unles you are a middle aged, white European male BMI (pretty sure neither of you are at least one of those things!) doesn't really relate to you anyway - a good example of a thing that was only ever intended to be used on a population scale being incorrectly used on a personal level! 😁
Good plan to try to spread time off throughout the year SH - I'm finding that since the Pandemic I'm finding I get "jaded" far more quickly - and there are even times now when my 4 day week can feel a bit too "peopley" - that applies even more during the summer months when I'm often doing quite people-intensive stuff in my spare time too. I'm certainly enjoying these few weeks of lots of short weeks!

Thanks EH - i don't think there is any doubt in my case that serious action is needed. Yet I still struggle to take it.
Had an okay time in the office today. Had a really nice chat with a fellow divorcee which helped me see how far I've come in a short time. She got divorced around the same time as me.
Today my cleaner came. Feel very lucky to have the support. My handyman also came and has spray painted about 6 fence panels, cut back some bushes with proper hedge trimmers, got rid of the weeds at the front of the house for me and moved the new compost around the back. I forgot to get him to move my bark for me from the car but all being well he's coming back next week. I need to find another £100... and do a money shuffle. I'm going to return something to Amazon that I spent £27 on which will help.
DD had a look at the oven but couldn't find any obvious loose wires so wants me to get a professional in. Hopefully will resolve that tomorrow. That's likely to cost me a minimum of £60 call out. I need to find the part I bought last year before I ring. I'll put it on a CC for now as I don't want to take money from savings. I get paid mid month. I could just about cover both from the monthly remaining float - but would rather keep the cash.
I didn't get to the Opticians today so that's on the list for tomorrow now.
I still need to reply to the adhd person with some info. They want to check my heart before doing meds. I've been on a waiting list for 7 months - you'd think they could have considered that earlier. No idea how long that will take to get an appointment. I have to steel myself to do anything like this so the more roadblocks they throw in the way the more I want to return to hibernation / head in the sand mode.
Looking forward to the weekend. So tempted to book more time off on Friday.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030
