I hope your colleagues help to pick up the slack and things improve at work.

All sounds good outside of work, and good that DD is coming along for the viewing as well.

Thanks Mark, Tahlullah, KK, DIA, Jwil, @humdinger1 and @TallGirl. Thanks for the cheerleading and encouragement.

I'm trying to just use the comb on the cat for now - as Merlin warned me about redosing him to soon. At least they aren't wiggling on the comb - so I'm hoping they're dead and I'm just getting rid of the detritus.

On the work side of things - I got people to pick up their game a bit the last few days.  There are still lots of issues but I've been very explicit about them so if my worst fears materialise it shouldn't be a surprise to anyone senior. Not exactly how to win any popularity contests though. Luckily that's not the name of the game. KK - the particular issue I have right now should improve significantly within 3-4 weeks - and then I can have a mini holiday all being well.

I nipped to a shop at lunchtime and bought myself some treats. I also took the shorter acting meds
in 2 half doses at 2 and 5pm and I think they did help - so it may be partly meds related how I've been feeling. I certainly felt calmer again after taking them.

Finally caught up with the whole of this diary wow you have come a long way and so much has happened. I do get you with making the final decision on where to live it is so hard and only you will know. I decided to sell my first home I had had with my ex to move in with my new partner. It was tough but we both knew as soon as we walked into this house it was the one. Hope the viewing Saturday goes well. Also well done to DD will make your life easier not having to be mums taxi.

Well done on the mammoth effort. I've ready my diary back this week and it helped. I think if at all possible I need to hold fast to the dream of beautiful views. I think I'd regret their lack more than I'm at risk of regretting the inconvenience of moving but time will tell.

On the house - really hoping it's the one tomorrow.  I have givens days/weeks/months/years of my life to RM - it would be good to finally pick one and be done. I talked it over with DD and she said she would come and visit me there which was one of my worries - whether we'd just drift apart. I think DS will visit occasionally - but he's older and more independent and doesn't live anywhere near as close.

I spoke to the EA about my house sale - he is awaiting their solicitor details so he can do final checks on them. Only because I rang did he then ask me for mine. He's had something about their mortgage AIP I think so that sounds positive. I need to instruct my solicitors over the weekend but would be more comfortable if I'd had an offer accepted on a house too. Still debating what to offer at if I do offer. Really hoping the viewing is positive tomorrow and that my sis is helpful without being a doomsayer. The house sellers are splitting - so it may also factor in to how keen or otherwise they are to sell and move on - could be a good or a bad thing. It didn't sound like they needed to await a divorce though so hopefully that will make it quicker.

  • I'm pleased to read the extra meds have helped yesterday. You really have achieved so much over the last 2 years, well done. Congratulations to DD on passing her test too, it will benefit you with her being more independent. Really hope today goes your way, good luck. Also sending positive thoughts for the next few weeks at work.
