RIP Hazel. Big (((hugs))) to piggers and family xx
We have had downpours for most of the day. Rosie refused to go for a walk this afternoon - and, having spent the morning dodging showers between shops, I was very glad to stay in the dry and relatively warm! It also meant that I managed to take a long phonecall from a friend who is moving house in mid-December.
A couple of jobs have been crossed off my list, but nothing major. I shall make more of an effort tomorrow.8 -
GI that is very cute, but oh my days three 2 year olds at once, you have my respect!
And much love to everyone in Pigpen's world who is feeling the loss.
Tricky day at the paid stuff, but just over 9 hours done. Went for a run this morning in the fog then cleaned all the cupboard fronts, swished the fridge inside and out, wiped down the tiles and tidied around.
ASB my friend has a fancy tumble drier that she can dry anything in and it's really economical. Mine is very old and basic but I do use it when I really need to and its handy for finishing things off that have been over the airer. The weather is impossible for getting anything dry at the moment.

Ionafan happy anniversary. Mr N and I have been together for 44yrs this month!
Hugs to all in Pigpen's house.
ASB I'm sure you already do it, but do you give items an extra spin in the WM? We've got a 35yr old TD but use it about once a year; maybe it's windier here!! Having said that, my wetsuit is still hanging in the conservatory although it had a few hours outside on Sat (not that I could put it in the TD anyway.....).
New zumba class today, after the 'senior zumba' I tried last week, this one was......still rather more sedate than I'm used to. Still, it is fairly cheap, fairly close to home and the people were friendly, I went to coffee with them after.
Went to local "garden" emporium on the way home, more like Santa's grotto this time of year, but managed to get a few things.
Did more of a report.
Had a practice Zoom with Mr N as I remembered that Zoom doesn't work so well on my new computer and I have a work meeting tomorrow. It didn't work too well so I may resort to my old one (now donated to Mr N) or my laptop. The work sounds interesting, it is voluntary training on dyslexia to a group of Waterways Chaplains. I thought it was local, but apparently they want me to do 4 x 1hr seminars in Milton Keynes and 4 x 1hr in Stoke. I can feel at least one 'northern' weekend away in Feb coming up.
Waded through a few more emails, printed off more student into (December bookings).
Did a bit of drum practice.
Booked a treat for us, a dance show on 4 Dec.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.9 -
Morning. RIP Hazel.
I have a day to myself today so I will fly this morning and meet up with friends this afternoon.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.10 -
Morning all
Many condolences to Piggers and family.
I’m at home most of today but have a hospital appointment later to have my PICC line seen to. Cancer win - I get free parking. And that’s an appointment I can drive myself to.
Today’s tea will be from the SC so I need to get that bubbling asap.
I was at work all day Sunday (First Aid course in house) and DD did the kitchen and bathroom. There are still bits to sort (ie return to their home or put away) from the new carpets but much flingage has gone on…and we have two bags for CS. A bedside cabinet was offered for free so that too has gone.Need to write Flycards. So far though DW, WM and TD have all done their thing.Hope you all have a good day.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016
Thank you Honey Bear8 -
Good morning
RIP Hazel - run free 🌈
WM on, bank accounts & emails checked. I managed to get some admin jobs done yesterday. I will do more today.
Toddler group this morning. I need to decide what to do this afternoon. Something crafty, maybe Christmassy. I need to dig out the Christmas craft box from under the stairs....
ASB I have had a condenser TD with dry sensor for years. A full load doesn't take too long. My next one will probably be a heat pump one as they are more energy efficient (but probably more expensive)
Hugs, sticks & spoons to those that need them. Have a good day everyone!8 -

RIP Hazel xx
Cheeky break at paid stuff for five mins.. eating an OOD Easter egg that I found lurking. That’s lunch! Thanks - we are very windy up here (almost too much); it’s just so damp as we’ll because we’re so high up (1250 foot above sea level), and it’s the sheer volume of laundry I have to do. I am looking at heat pump ones, thanks Piggers x
House still a tip, but I am working like a Trojan to save for the bath we NEED to have installed asap - winters are just too cold here for our dribbly electric shower.
In very exciting news, our ewes have been tupped and due in April x10 -
I still haven't done the stuff I meant to do yesterday despite my good intentions but I have decluttered the two undersink cupboards, emptied and washed out all the nasty chemicals and recycled the bottles. I've also decluttered some stuff from the cupboard under the front steps and asked Belovéd if he will return from the Foodbank via the scrapstore and CS to get a rather large pile of junk useful stuff out of the house once and for all. It's very disheartening decluttering and not seeing clear spaces, and then seeing piles of stuff that have been ready to go for weeks still lurking. I just want space.
Better is good enough.8
