You may well get a court claim via moorside legal. If you do just come back
If I do, what will you advise at that time? Still just keep ignoring?
No, you must please come back for further advice and guidance. You must never ignore a formal court claim. Please don't.
Ok. I was just saying that, based on the fact that previous comments led me to believe they're just sending scary letters and they're powerless to do anything more than that.  You also told me
"So you mean that some outfit in Hungary can apply through the UK court system to have a case tried in order to attempt to have a County Court Judgment against the motorist? Did you really mean to ask that?"

To be clear, I'm not intending to imply any doubt about the guidance on here. Thanks again to all, for your help.

Quite simply moorside legal are the first firm to try anything. It is doubtful they will succeed in any defended claim

That's less clear-cut, less comforting than the previous comments.  I preferred hearing the "nothing will happen" type comments.  Any risk I'll have to go to court?

Agreed. There is no legal case that is within the jurisdiction of E&W courts.

Moorside are writing to you because they know weaker members of society are stupid or easily taken in by headed notepaper.

This is no different from all the EPC demands seen for fines from other countries. Hundreds of threads like this over the years/decade.

And we've been telling people to ignore those letters every time. Show me one that's ever gone further?!

    This ISN'T a new situation.

    Just another firm, another threatogram.

You could even use Contestor Legal's no win no fee strike out service if Moorside tried!  See the thread on that.  Easy peasy.

    Good news! 😄
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.
