4272 points for me this time - my best yet.
But our weekday load varies a lot depending on the day of the week. So that is what mostly affects how much we can save. Monday is a good day for me as it is a day I often do laundry, so it was pretty easy to just time a couple of loads and do some ironing at a time that maximised my savings.
I can't bring myself to waste energy though, so I am just doing energy intensive things at a different time.4.3kW PV, 3.6kW inverter. Octopus Agile import, gas Tracker. Zoe. Ripple x 3. Cheshire5 -
I've only got a 60A main fuse so ~ 15kW max sustained use. I averaged 10kW for the 3 hours while peaking at 13kW. My Zappi should reduce its charging rate if the house pushes the total grid draw over 60A but I didn't want to push it. Would be painful to blow the fuse.0

I'm not sure this algorithm works as I thought it would, after reading the last couple of pages.I'm a low user anyway (solar panels), and my usage is timed for when they're producing the most.If it hadn't been so cold lately, to have the central heating working a fair bit, I doubt I'd have saved much at all. And that's still not a massive use of electric.816 pts / £1.02 / 90% saved.(I only joined Octopus in October, so I'm a bit late to the saving game.)0

Mind you, I'm not sure I'd have understood them anyway. Thanks to all you clever folk that "talk" in plain English. I know when to do washing / tumble drying / oven cooking / heating with electric fans in future.2

I wonder if there is any potential for the spike during the IDA calculation period to cause significant issues?
While it was just a handful of people who figured out the loophole it might have gone under the radar but, as it becomes common knowledge, the thought of millions of people suddenly maxing out their consumption is a bit worrying.0
