I got my IDA up to 3.6535 kWh today. Meaning I should be paid £35.41 if I turn off for the whole 2 hours (which I will!)

Very interestingly noticed that National Grid under-predicted demand by a much greater amount than usual between 1pm and 4pm today - I wonder what could have caused that.
Do you have a link to those stats handy?
https://www.bmreports.com/bmrs/?q=eds/main - the System Demand chart.

The gap starts a little earlier in the day than 1pm, but it's wider than usual - and closes rapidly after 4pm.

Lol. I’m in full on Scrooge mode, pouring over my phone by candlelight. Tea light actually😊. OH is in another room watching TV & has a light on😠.
I put CH on earlier so hopefully house won’t cool down too much over the 2 hours. Also planning a cold evening meal.
All an experiment really but I feel for those who have to take such action out of necessity v

First time I've joined the saving session, all is off except for 6w spotlight for the dogs (though fridge/freezer might kick in, have not yet figured out how to disconnect them as they are integrated). We're out in the warm car on the way to get some groceries ;)

Edit: I need to read up on it some, not sure about how "adjustment hours" work, we've been out 11-4pm today and everything was off in the house. Does that mean I won't get paid much  :D
Gas: warm air central heating, instant water heater, Octopus tracker
Electricity: 3kw south facing solar array, EV, Octopus intelligent
