I agree, I just like to have it on me for emergencies. Luckily as its been 2 full days of meetings, drinks and lunch is provided, so other than my travel costs its all been free so far! I'll be heading back home after lunch then not back in the office again for a few weeks. I've defo enjoyed the change of scenery and being with colleagues in person!November 2022 - £46,626.96 / May 2025 - £5,970.00

Hello all, still freezing!!! Back home from the office though and heating is on so hopefully I'll warm up soon! I desperately need a new coat, I have done for a couple of years now, and you'd think with my previous spending habits I'd have got myself one by now! Anyway, i have found a lovely warm thermal coat in the sale for £50, but it only has a size 12, and I like to size up on coats. Next have the same coat for £98 and both sizes in stock, so I have ordered them on my account to try on, then I'll return them and hopefully, if the size 12 fits fine, then I can order the £50 one direct from the website. So it's down here in black and white to hold myself accountable to send them back! Please pray for me that the size 12 fits!! Otherwise I'll have to go back to the drawing board, or patiently wait and hope the bigger sizes comes back in stock at the sale price!. MPS.xNovember 2022 - £46,626.96 / May 2025 - £5,970.00

Morning everyone, it's payday at last!! I ended the month with £10 left in my bank and £8 cash left in my purse! Not bad for January!!!!! Just sent £245 to CC1, which officially gets this CC below £1k and into the hundreds! 2 more months, and it'll be completely gone, and my first real debt win!!! Hope you all have happy hump days! MPS

Happy Friday everyone!!! Yesterday was NSD and I'm hoping today will also be one! The coats arrived and they were awful
so they are being returned. I have another one coming to try today, a bit of a bargain as it was £100, reduced to £40 and I have a £26 voucher so if its any good it will only cost £14!!! Fingers crossed!!!
I see there's another bank switch offer, Santander this time, but its a 90 day pay out and I think I'm gonna let my credit file fix itself now as I need to think about some balance transfers come October so that's enough time for all the new accounts to fall off my file. I mean, I managed to bag £950 so far so I don't wanna push my luck!MPSx

Hope the coat is OK, it's a bargain for £14! You've really done well with the switching but yeah, I'd be tempted to focus on the credit file if you need new products in October too

Well the coat was awful, but I did order a different one too, which I fell in love with, works out £44, not as good as a £14 coat but I still think it's worth the money.I feel a bit deflated today, I've felt, what with the coat buying, some of my old spending habits are starting to creep back in, I mean I haven't done anything crazy, me and my daughter had a day out together and I spent £40, and I feel so guilty for spending the money, but also not guilty because we had such a lovely day together. I guess this is the balance of clearing debt but still having a life. So yeah, sorry its not the most positive of updates, but I guess I'm still finding my feet a little bit.MPS.xNovember 2022 - £46,626.96 / May 2025 - £5,970.00

You do need to find a balance, you can’t just live to pay debt. Especially when you have children and you need to make memories with them having fun days out. £40 is a bargain for a fun day out.
Also, don’t beat yourself up about the coat. We all need a good winter coat, thanks to the good old British weather. Just make sure you recognise the spending habits of old and kick them to the kerb. What’s better to spend £40 on; a new jumper or a lovely day out with your family?
My outlook about spending money has changed so much over the last few years but it takes time, there have been some wobbles and sometimes I’ve had to have a little word with myself
