Omg can't believe it's taken members of the public on a forum to tell me this, I've sent the pictures of the readings I've taken to BG but not once have they said that I'm giving the wrong readings!!! I'll do the CORRECT readings for the week & will update thus thread next Wednesday after I've had the call from BG.PennineAcute said:angemr said:Is this the right screen?
That's the reading you need to give to BG, not the kWh reading. If you have been giving the kWh meter readings to BG, this is why you gas bill is astronomic.
Am I reading the correct screen on the electric?0 -
^ If it's any consolation, you were at least sending them photos of the right meter

[Description of image in tweet: part of an e-mail from Octopus with highlighted words saying "Hi Phill, Thanks for the photo, the issue here is that this is actually your water meter"]6 -
On the basis that the meter is nearly 6 years old - about 1100 m3 / year = about 12,500 kWh ie quite normal.
Now all you have to do is unravel the error and get rebilled.Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill1 -
😆😆 that's ace, thanks so much, feel a bit better now 😁Spoonie_Turtle said:^ If it's any consolation, you were at least sending them photos of the right meter

Am I reading the correct screen on the electric?
In my opinion it is not, as the reading is too low - especially as you have said that the meter has been installed for a while.
If my memory serves me correctly, on the Liberty Smart Meters, one press of the number 9 key will give you the correct electricity reading.

You might be, but you might not.angemr said:Am I reading the correct screen on the electric?
Here is my favourite video on how to read the Secure Liberty 100 meters:PennineAcute said:In my opinion it is not, as the reading is too low - especially as you have said that the meter has been installed for a while.
