The OP states that the electricity meter is not smart but surely it must be if BG were able to remotely switch them from PP to credit?

I think they are smart as the tariff they were on with their previous supplier was for smart meters. It's possible that they are either 1st gen, or otherwise incompatible with BG. In one comment (on the second page) they say BG can read the gas meter they have, just not the electric one.

I think you are reading the wrong screen for the gas.    The picture shows  KWh - using that spells disaster

Press 9 until you see a screen labelled m3
Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill

Manual readings: what could possibly go wrong? The consumer provides meter readings that are c.11.22 times what they should be, and the supplier then multiplies the difference between the latest and previous readings by c.11.22.

I think we were switched to credit account as they said the meters we had were not compatible with BG.
When on PAYG we had smart meters, topped up using an app. Usually put about £50 per week on the electric meter (as said previously we have a hot tub which is why the electric was high then but it's been switched off since July) and average about £20 per week on gas.
I did wonder if the meters were zero'd due to us changing from PAYG to credit account
Looking at Nabuh's gas tariffs, there are quite a few, but the Smart Reader one (The Lizzy) I can find puts gas units at 2.7-2.9ishp. As you probably now pay around 10p for that same usage, so that £20 a week will now be nearer £100 instead.

It does seem that you are a very high user, as someone else suggested, I think a fully energy audit will be useful to you.
it was the lizzy tarrif we were on with Nabuh. Are there any calculators or apps that can help with an energy audit? I'm worried what the gas bill is going to go up to when we start using the heating if it's this bad at the moment!!!!!
Gas is far easier to audit, as the no.of appliances is minimal. Usually a gas boiler providing CH and DHW, then maybe a gas hob or oven, maybe a gas fire. that's about it.

That's the reading you need to give to BG, not the kWh reading.  If you have been giving the kWh meter readings to BG, that is why your gas bill is astronomic.
