they're not brand new meters, they've been in for many years, BG said the gas meter is smart so I shouldn't need to give them readings but the electric meter is not. When I was switched over I was advised the meters I have are not smart/compatible with BG and they would need to sort this out at some point?
I do work from home 2days a week so have my pc on but I don't put the heating on and I'm based in my conservatory so don't need the light on.
We had all windows replaced over 12months ago so they're energy efficient.0 -

That's a heck of a lot of electricity, higher than our usage and we are high users along with heating and hot water being electric.
Looks like a proper energy audit is in order.0 -
Looks like readings from the wrong meters if the OP really hasn't had new ones.
Think they need to check what's in the meter cupboard.Barnsley, South Yorkshire

I've no idea. We never had to take meter readings before as we were on pre-payment, I'd not checked the readings before we were told we were being switched and as we were told we would be going on to a billed account not pre-payment I though I should get the readings.

Would switching from pre-payment possibly zero the meters?Barnsley, South Yorkshire

They mentioned that they were on PAYG before the switch. Could the supplier have then sent through a zero rating at the start of the switch due to that? (I am only spit balling here to try and think of an explanation?)QrizB said:angemr said:they're not brand new meters, they've been in for many yearsBut you said:meter readings for 10/9/2022 gas 000006.30 electric 0000035.8

I am more surprised that there is a change to credit.
