    :D Happy New Year

The challenge has started and I haven't spent a penny - wow, I can't believe it!

Phoning re a couple of jobs first thing tomorrow - wish me luck! A bit of advice please, I'm stalling on doing my budget planner etc and using "not got an income/job yet to get realistic figures" :o . Shall I bite the bullet and start or wait until I know what income is coming in?

Just want to thanks for the forum for their posts, it has motivated me to seriously think about my finances and how I have wasted money in the past. I'm actually looking forward to not spending any money!

Damn we're good...still got all my cash (though technically all my bills come out by Direct Debit tomorrow so I will be spending lots then!)

morning all. heres to a prosperous new year for us all.
Im hoping for a no-spend day today - shouldnt be hard given that everywhere is closed for the bank holiday.
My plan for the day is to go for a run (free exercise), make sausage rolls with ingredients bought for xmas (free food - in that its already in the fridge) and take the kids to the park (free entertainment).
Tomorrow I shall be cursing as my DD's come out and I have a chunk of mortgage arrears to pay off. But at least thats a large part of the months expenses dealt with.
