  • Hi everyone. I've been following the challenge avidly and have finally plucked up the courage to post. I would love to join in if I may, with a budget of £4000. I've kept a track of my spending so far this month - I was too skint not to! You've all been such an inspiration and I've picked up loads of tips. I just love reading this thread!

Hiya! :hello: I saw the Angel of the North in September; it was very impressive! Good luck with the challenge :D

this is the EIGHTH house I have lived in since 2001!

Ha ha, know how you feel - this is the 5th house I've lived in in the past year!

So much I'd like to catch up on but I've been out all day at my best mate's mum's funeral (v sad but he's coping well so far) and OH is downstairs probably finger-tapping (actually probably not as he's a love but I'm sure he would like to see me), but there are just two things I simply have to tell you which will hopefully help to cheer up those who are feeling a little down.
    1) My OH said yesterday that he thinks we should have letters after our names for all the hard work we're doing - so from this moment on I am Bails BA Hons PGCE MSE :D I'm currently only an undergraduate but I'm working towards my Masters :j
    2) this is brilliant - I went to Mr T today as I was down at mum's, purely to look for bargains.. I found a few (including a whole cheese platter for £1.10) but the best one by far was this - 2 bean burgers reduced from £1.49 to 45p, so I bought 2 packs. On the original packaging it said if you bought 2 you'd get a £1 off. I thought to myself, 'I wonder...' and yes, you've guessed it, Mr T very kindly gave me the pound back. So 2x45p = 90p - £1 = -10p I paid for 4 beanburgers!!:rotfl:So fear not, fellow 4Kers, as Mr T has obviously heard about our challenge and is so impressed that he's paying us to buy his food! I shall be rich beyond my wildest dreams; a house like that one will be mine!!! :rotfl:

Catch up properly tomorrow peeps, love to you all xx
