Yes, brilliant thank you , it definitely says Post office there - I might give it a try, but my main PO is notoriously difficult about accepting anything half the time!
I was actually about to add something to that effect!. I've had many "discussions" with smaller PO counters who aren't up to date with the current rules. Even when I've shown them the page on their own PO website they often refuse to beleive me!

The worst was the old small parcel rules where the package had to be no larger than 45x35x8cm high , but could also be 16cm high providing the longest side was also not larger than 16cm. I was forever having my 15x15x15 parcels refused on that rule because they were showing me (in the most patronising fashon) that it would not go through their 8cm high cutout in their acrylic maximum size template!

Larger branches have always been OK though.

  • I booked a Tracked 24 for collection today and the label still says do not take to a post office. It also says that when you go to book the postage so I think the Post Office would refuse it. You may find the odd one who will take it but it's risky, especially with a two day strike coming up. I've just taken mine to a postie I saw up the road and he accepted it and I got the collection email as usual. We are quite snowed in and I doubt he would have got up our track.

Well I took mine to the PO, they weren’t sure they took them but said they would ‘at my own risk’. the parcels scanned and I have till receipts for them all.

that’s saved me a long walk out of my way.
