I requested a switch as part of opening a new account, and was given a switch date of 13/12/22. But cannot find any emails/texts/letters mentioning a switch. New account is up and running. Did anyone receive confirmation of switch when opening or does it just happen?

You should get a letter in the post confirming the details. This has been slow to arrive for some. Then, once started and your old bank responds to the switch request, a text message confirming the date the switch will be completed.Jami74 said:I requested a switch as part of opening a new account, and was given a switch date of 13/12/22. It actually appears during the application rather suddenly and I imagine nearly everyone misses it as they don’t really draw attention to itJami74 said:I requested a switch as part of opening a new account, and was given a switch date of 13/12/22. Yes, PO are quite good for this - though they do charge £12.75! Used them recently for id certifications for a whole posse of executors after a death.mrchagle said:Post Office do it. (For a fee)
Best to go in with the form already filled in - can be downloaded at https://www.postoffice.co.uk/identity/document-certification
