Thanks for all the info.  So neither my wife nor I have a co-op account.  If she opens an account (without switching) and then refers me and I switch we both get £125?  Thanks.

Yes, that'll work. Consider seeing if your wife can set up a donor account and find a referer, it'd be worth £125!

Though that would add a week or so onto the overall timing, and no-one knows when this offer will be pulled!

(edited to add: actually it still could be done, I suppose, in the same timing, but the primary need, for plan A - wife referring husband, is for wife to have a coop account - so get on with that first and worry about any Plan B, of wife also being referred for a switch, in parallel)

well, after what seemed a constructive call to CS on Tuesday when i was promised a call back before the end of the day which didn't happen, i am now sat here 45 mins and counting for my call to be answered.
Tuesdays call basically left me at the stage where they had received my certified ID but said it was filled in incorrectly stating a piece of information that needs to be written on it wasn't. the said piece of information was not requested or listed on the letter asking for the ID.
    Sigh.

Thanks.  I assume you mean AN EXTRA £125 on top of the £125 each if we do what I said?

Yes, that way your wife (and whoever refers her) would get £125 for her switch, then your wife and yourself would get £125 for yours.

I'm not sure. Either way rgsotson's wife will need to open an account before she can refer rgsotson.

What is clear is that rgsotson's wife should apply today to get the ball rolling, and while waiting for her paperwork she or rgsotson should try and find someone to refer her. She can potentially open a donor account and find a referer while waiting for that paperwork, then get a switch started after her account is open and she has the details.
