Tomorrow will be a sewing day, and hopefully I will be able to declutter the cane toad in one go.
I filled the whirly with 5 loads of washing and did about an hour's sewing. Then the blue sky and sunshine proved too seductive, and we took Rosie up to the Forest for a bite of lunch and a walk. She was very happy with sausage and cheese, and then ran round chasing squirrels and being photogenic with one of Noodle's mates and a baby Gruffalo. It was chilly but beautiful - not at all like November. The sunshine did me more good than the sewing, and decluttered any signs of SAD brought on by the lengthening nights.
Back home now, and I have brought the washing in, a bit drier than when we went out. I estimate that it will cut down the TD use by at least 60%, compared to drying straight from the WM, so win-win. The pillowcases are already dry enough to iron.
Next I need to pack up some books and take them to the PO, and I'll go food shopping tonight after dropping DH off at his war games club (rather than sticking to my original plan of shopping tomorrow) - that will give me most of tomorrow to finish the sewing. Rain is forecast again.8 -
Swing seat is upright, the top is right off it, part top damaged, part top of swing damaged, a good woodworker would be able to fix it, however for now, awning is in my shed for winter, other top wooded bit stood up next to the house, main swing part on patio near house. I checked it seems we had a couple of gusts of 50mph wind that day, guess it was just at the right angle to get caught.Walking donePoppies done, including an awful conversation with a man who just wouldn't go, regarding it was degrading for me to stand with a poppy box attached to me by a rope / ribbon around my neck! I really don't know if he was on something or what, but I edged towards a shop as we were 'talking' just in case he tried anything, eventually he wander off. I still don't understand what is degrading about it, but there you go.OH wants early food tonight as he is off out with NND's (male) to play pool.Breast Cancer Now 100 miles October 2022 100 / 100miles

Went for a run.
Cleaned shower while I was in it.
Decided to take advantage of the sun shining on the solar panels so put the immersion heater on ready for a serious fly.
Flew round the en suite, including washing the mats and mopping the floor.
Put away last debris from holiday.
Vacuumed hall and stairs.
Had a major kitchen tidy. Wiped some surfaces. Swept floor. Mopped floor.
Filled squirrel-proof feeder and the birds seem happy with it. Kite very lively today, circling and diving then sat in the tree at the end of the garden in case we'd killed anything to throw him. No luck.
Made a pizza for tea.
Did a bit of drum practice.
Got cross at the sight of an email from uni - which I didn't see till after their closing time - asking about a report, had I finished it as the student was asking......I sent it to them last Tuesday. Huh, I hate my reputation sinking because admin can't do their job on time. Don't know if they have lost it or just not got round to sending it to the student. As it's the first one of the year, it doesn't bode well.
A bit more of another report now then retire to pizza and TV I think.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.10 -
Hi all
Not a bad couple of days at the paid stuff. Work event tonight which I had been involved in planning and organising so not only did I have to go and socialise I also had the responsibility of knowing that if all went pear shaped it was partly down to me. Thankfully it went well.
I have made an effort to fly this week so there isnt too much catching up to do tomorrow, but I do need to look at finances and do some admin. Wet day forecast here.

Busy day at the paid stuff, called down to see various people who had questions/queries/issues. Reminded cafe staff that they have information re room hire in packs, made up ready to give out (again). Printed out some more packs, updated T&Cs ready for packs. Sorted out stuff we have been given.
flying wise I pegged the towels out for a second day…much better drying day, they dried along with the red load I pegged out.Rainy weekend forecast so I expect TD to be in use.Glad London was good, HB.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Morning all. Loving the pics of Rosie enjoying herself.
This morning in the hour I've been up I have got toys out for DGD1 arriving, fed Poppet and have tidied away the baby stuff no longer required. The cupboard of doom is actually quite organised now.
Once I've eaten my breakfast, I'll wash the dishes then rearrange the sides in the kitchen now that we don't need the steriliser or bottle maker, cleaning as I go.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.9 -
Morning all,
Also loving the pics of Rosie looking so proud! So pleased that you had a fab time in London, HB.
Today is intended to be a totally unjoined up day of random flying. DH is out this morning, helping to set up a village event. He will be out early evening for a couple of hours, so dinner will be best off in the sc so that it can hang around.
So far, I have done QHI, watered various houseplants, cut off many dead leaves from said plants. Random flying tasks include dust bedroom before I am tempted to write my name in the dust, clean ensuite, open a parcel that is cluttering the hall, feed the bread starter for possible use tomorrow, vacuum upstairs. There may be more, but it is unlikely that I will actually do it!
Have a lovely (wet) day, everyone x7 -
Kitchen rearranged. Poppet not walked as it's pouring with rain. Also a village event I was going to go to has been cancelled because of the weather.
Hoovered through.Spend less now, work less later.9 -

Hi all
Raining here and tomorrow is forecast to be damp. I have let the laundry pile up so have decided that if I am going to have to dry indoors with the dehumidifier going I may as well get as much washing done as possible.
Went for a little jog and then did some yoga before the rain started, pleased with that.
All clean washing put away, tidied our bedroom, kitchen and bathroom cleaned. Finance spreadsheets next.
We have a little dormouse visiting the garden where our bird feeder is and feeding on the scraps. Very cute.10
