Evening all,
Sorry I’ve only skim read but Kaz I wanted to say I really hope it can be fixed for you this wind is just awful at the moment we have a weather warning again for tomorrow I just hope the power stays on. Big hugs and do let us know xxx
Work of both a paid and unpaid nature (ie every single hour I’m not at the paid stuff!) is full on. Chickens go back into flock down on Monday which is really annoying, they’ll hate being indoors after free ranging on the land for ages now. Hardly getting any eggs which is a shame but it’s the time of year. Pigs in mud heaven, electric fence still stable thank goodness. Chimney done so enjoying kitchen fire.
Did a huge shop in Lidl at the weekend, nearly £200 spent but other than fresh fruit (veg still coming from friend with allotment) and milk we won’t need anything until 2023 now, which is an odd thought!10 -
Another book rehomed.
Toy and games drawer sorted, one thing binned, several destined for CS.
Coffee drunk in local village café (very pleasant) with friend, and she talked at me for nearly 2 hours!
DH's bedroom and ensuite cleaned thoroughly. Yuck!
LR dusted by me and hoovered by DH (he offered).
I walked Rosie early, then managed to clear the lawn of leaves before it got dark. Filled the compost bin. The ash tree is almost bare now, so I'll have a week or so's grace before the oak leaves start to fall.
Cooked sausages and used about half of one to feed Rosie her worming tablets, then applied her flea treatment, it being the 1st of the month.
Consolidated the contents of all the indoor bins, which DH took out to the kerb.
Wrote a wish list for tomorrow, but the main job will be sewing
Not a bad day
Sweet dreams to all xxx

Today's wishlist has been completed apart from the sewing. I'll finish my coffee and then I'll get stuck in.
Oh, and inspired by round I have done odd extra bits of decluttering on the way. Need to do a CS drop-off this afternoon10 -

My self care contribution today is not going anywhere near our spare room XD It's a dumping ground for all sorts of stuff and I just can't face that tonight!
I've got a jab tomorrow and then I'll pop some bits round to the charity shop. Kitchen is largely tidy as is the living room - just needs a hoover through and the surfaces wiping. I know I'm not strictly following the rules per se but it's nice to think I don't have to do it all on my day off!£2023 in 2023 challenge - £17.79 January11 -
Thanks Fayolle. I did sleep better last night, but getting up is so hard. Hope you had a restful night x
Better day at the paid stuff today, one big job ticked off the list and a supplier who was getting very close to the wire with a deadline has delivered the goods. I am getting a pay rise which will be very useful.
Veggie curry for tea, DH had chicken version. 3 portions to go in the freezer. I have swished and swiped the kitchen cupboard fronts and tiles.
Foul weather, tomorrow is supposed to be much better so I will hopefully be able to cycle in.10 -
Was up bright and early and got into the gym. After work it was all just animal chores:Fed and watered scorplings, fed tiny tarantulas, frogs, assassin bugs, chameleon, snail and axo. No snake handling tonight, the little noodle has shed, but gone back into hiding, the big noodle has hidden in his cave all day.
Bf bathed the tortoise for me today, I'll turn his heatlamp off tomorrow (it's only been on for 3 hours for the last few days), then when hes properly cold and sleepy I'll stuff him in the fridge in over the weekend.

Some of the stuff I got from my friend has gone into work and been rehired. Not at work tomorrow so I am hoping to get on with admin…and the frog that is the office/guest room.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily Dickinson

Morning all. Hope everyone is well.
Yesterday's plan aspiration to finish off the sewing frog that has been irking me for months years was thwarted yet again, as I haven't got any thread to match the fabric: the craft shop in the village was closed, and I refuse to pay for parking in town when it costs more than the item I want! However, I used my time wisely by doing some more culling of old admin papers. The cupboard on the landing is now a walk-in (one step in and that's it) and I have two more empty ring binders, which I have added to the study shelves for when I eventually get back to sorting the ancestors
Things are piling up on the spare bed: rehomed books to post or deliver by hand, the other books that are destined for the college students, toys for Operation Christmas Santa (supporting local families), various bits and pieces to hand over to the church fete organisers, and the presents for my youngest godchildren which my friend H (who is another of their godparents) will deliver for me later this month [fer-ling] Most things will go within the week
Today I must
- strip beds
- dust all through
- clean the bathroom and ensuite
- K will be here at 9.00
- clean the kitchen while K runs the hoover all through
- remake the beds with K's help
- remember to give K the scones that are in the freezer
- go up to the village for sewing thread, then make a start on the frog
- tuna salad for lunch (must remember to defrost a couple of slices of bread)
- take Rosie for her walk: she refused to go out in the heavy rain yesterday, and I can't say I blame her!
- take DH to the surgery for his DVLA medical, and send emails/texts while I'm waiting for him
- sort tea
- phone my eldest goddaughter after tea
Best get going, then!
(((Hugs))) spoons and sticks all round, as needed. Catch you all later xxx9
