Truly I think you should spend time planning 7 nice things a week while you’re on holidays. You need a reminder of what makes life worth living.
Excellent advice!I agree - that's the other half of your planning, need to know what you want so you can put it together with what you've got to work with

I don’t find the Teacher’s Pension online service particularly easy to access. Does your school have FAs that come in and try to explain it? I think I’m in 3 different phases of the pension scheme - totally baffles me.Hope you are able to relax and have got to the end of the school year.paydbx2025 #26 £890/£5000 . Hello
Am doing ok, had two weeks off so feel a bit more human, am full of plans and schemes but Mum is really depressed which is very hard. She sulks in the evenings and won't go to bed, it took her an hour tonight to call me to help her into bed. I should go to bed but I am so angry and riled up, I had planned to have a little drink but I know now I am so annoyed it won't have the relaxing affect!!
I have been out a few times, Mum is very good at being the martyr and "letting me go" but I cannot go out in the evenings. too stressful to leave her when she is tired and prone to falling over etc. But lunches and coffees(tea!) are now my social life and that is pretty good. I have made a small start on the garden. Sounds silly but spent time with the dogs, moved the last box of mum's stuff out of my room. I am going to move the furniture round in my room tomorrow and try for the millionth time to create a sanctuary so that I can do all my jobs and then sit comfortably in there and fall asleep to the tv like I used to. I got a new fitbit which gleefully tells me I am getting five hours ish sleep a night. That does explain why I used to just collapse on Saturdays.
As ever I have posted at a low point but I am getting to see people and if I can pull off my plans for the house it will make life better.
I also bought some new tops - I went out today and HATED what I was wearing - forgot what it is like to socialise!!
Nevertheless she persisted.8 -
I’m glad you’re managing to have some sort of social life even if it’s just during the day. It will do you good to get out.Plans for your room sound good, you need a nice space of your own to relax in.Sending hugs xI get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)3

Will one of your friends come and mum sit for an evening? Or one of the neighbours? Not right up to bedtime, just the bit that’s stopping you going out before.
ps good to hear from you!3
