Actually I think it is more the papers telling them, rather than older people. Most of much older people didn't even get a sniff at university & the bulk left school at 15. It was only much later that 50% got to go to uni & had to start paying. Most of the people I knew left at 15 & I did first year 6th form before leaving & finishing A levels at evening classes. Which seems an impossibility these days.

We are very slow in changing renter protections even when house prices have shot out of reach of most in almost all of the country.

I have been a teacher for a long time. Longer now than all but one member of staff in my school.
And today broke me. Something in me snapped. I luckily didn't lose it in front of the students. I did refuse to teach a few times. I just kept thinking about my blood pressure and my heart. It is partly that I don't have time to do all the behaviour stuff. I think I am going to have to rethink how I do my job. I really do.
It is a very bad time.Nevertheless she persisted.5 -

I also think you need some time off to protect your health. I’ve found you get not better thought of for struggling on and no job is worth making yourself ill for. Take care.January spends - £587.584
