they are such !!!!!! really.
I really need to move him.
Today was going really well. But then mum asked me to cut her nails and I cut her. It was a total accident and I feel bloody awful about it, so I stayed with her till it stopped bleeding and she was ok. I am not cutting her nails again. EVER.
So I didn't get to do anything in my room. There is just too much to do. Shame as up to till then I was having a lovely day.
I did sort out my laptops - I have three, one old one I love, a new one I can't get on with and a little work one. Luckily Mum has paid me some money she owed me for shopping so am not too bad re money so long as I can eek out the petrol till pay day. Tho I did buy some clothes from the big river shop - the whole not using it in November fell apart pretty quickly.
I keep hearing the news and reading just the headlines and actually seeing stuff in the local area and really worrying about safety. I feel like we are on the brink of a huge crisis and I am frightened. I am working hard not to let the fear over whelm me but it is really tough.
Nevertheless she persisted.5 -
The news is quite scary at times - if it worries you - try not to watch too much. I know I only watch 1 episode a day …..in the early pandemic times I was glued to every episode but found limiting myself was much better for me.January spends - £587.584

I don't even think it is the news, it the state of the lives of the children I teach, the desperation of their parents. the violence in the local area that I hear about because of my job. I listen to radio 4 in the morning but have no time the rest of the day.milann said:The news is quite scary at times - if it worries you - try not to watch too much. All I keep thinking of how much there is to do.
Tho not today. Mondays are just exhausting. xxxxxNevertheless she persisted.4 -

I’m not sure if you agree but I’ve found this to be so much worse the last few years. It’s like we’re going backwards and it’s getting harder to manage. There’s less money to support these students tooBuffythedebtslayer said:

100% it is worse. The depravation, the services available to help, the "goodwill" of staff now taken with the things that used to be an actual job or voluntary that have been cut, the idea that people now commonly work two jobs to support a family and divorces in particular are now so combative and nasty in many more cases. All of that plus things like more sexism, racism and simple anger are so common now. I am not sure if it was covid or if the break from that pressure meant when we came back it was just the same but we hadn't seen it for a year so it seems worse.Willowtree222 said:

I agree Buffy. 2 years waiting list for any form of support. Everything is just stretched and meanwhile we’re trying to pick up the pieces and support day to day.Buffythedebtslayer said:

With kids, I am sure a lot of them pick the stress up from their parents & don't know how to deal with it. Remembering back a very long way to my childhood, I remember my parents being stressed & we could feel the tension, having no idea what caused it. It was at the time when divorce was actually becoming possible for ordinary people & I certainly became convinced they were separating. Of course they weren't. Now divorce is even easier it maybe some of them are just plain worried. Doesn't make it any easier to deal with, but sometimes it helps to know why. It also doesn't help that people keep telling them their futures are ruined.
