Well, after all my optimism of yesterday I arrived at the hospital and mum has a cough and a urine infection. I am aware these things are common in hospital and it all being treated. it is heart breaking. She was very negative. It reminded me of being in the old people's home for Grandad 20 odd years ago. She is very much like her Dad, tough, hard working, but negative. So the visit was hard.
Have ordered the stuff.
Going to carry on with the house. XXXNevertheless she persisted.6 -

Sorry to hear your mum wasn’t as good. She is in the best place, where they can treat the infections.I’m hoping you’ve got yourself another sick note as you need to be as calm as possible when she comes home.
I can relate so much to patients yelling all night. I had a lady opposite me who was sweetness an light during day light hours then like a gremlin changed and yelled using language that’d make a navi blush all night long. And the things she shouted at the foreign nurses were horrendous. She’d nod off in the morning and then shout over how well she’d slept and did we have a good night……she had no recollection of it. I really felt for the nurses.January spends - £587.581 -
Sorry to hear your mum wasn't so good today. What is it about the elderly always getting urine infections in hospital? My mum always did, every time she went in. Hope the antibiotics work and it disappears quicklyMaking the debt go down and savings go up

My dad had several fractures and some to his arms were treated at home….he ended up with water infections wherever he was treated. I think it was the body reactions to shock and healing.January spends - £587.581

Mr SA also had a few water infections when he was in hospital long term. He was only in his 40s at the time. Water infections can make people behave strangely so be prepared for that.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)2

I've had them a couple of times & they are weird. Your temp doesn't go particularly high but you feel & act like you have a raging fever.
