Oh goodness I'm so sorry @Sue-UU. I never had pets before my dogs so thought the love couldn't possibly be how others would say -but it truly is. Sending condolences and love as you grieve your loss ❤️

Hello SPCers, I hope you've all really enjoyed a lovely weekend, and have a good week ahead.
For all those who are poorly or low in spirits; get well soon. Love and best wishes from us all. ♥️

Thank you so very much, Flowers, we are indeed both heartbroken as she's been a huge part of our family.

So very many thanks, LMD, you're so very kind.
Very well done with the £8.32 saved!

Bless you, Saver-upper, I've received those gentle hugs to help us through this awful time. So very many thanks.
    Brilliantly done with the £10!!

How right your Auntie is, Ant, the price of love is most certainly pain. How right your words are too, we know from the start that one day the little pup (and all the previous little darlings we've treasured before) we've taken home will one day break our hearts, thankfully though we also knew of the love and joy they'll give us throughout their lives, and Jessie certainly gave us so very much love, she was indeed a gift. We're hoping she's up there now with our DD and Sil's dear dog, Daisy, Jessie's dear friend, and who's grave Jess always sniffed around when we were in their garden. Very many thanks Ant for your lovely words.
Great potting and picking up by the way!

It sounds as though you've been well busy, MrsCautious!  Very well done. I'm so pleased you get such inspiration from the thread.

Oh my word, poor you, MrMrsR!! You've certainly all been very poorly indeed, and for a long time! Your illnesses really do sound much more like flu, especially for your dear son, he's really suffered poor lad! I truly hope he soon gets back to what you know is his very best. Being as he's been given antibiotics, I would suggest he takes some probiotics to help get his immune system back to normal, they come in very expensive forms, so why not try the Greek Yogurts preferably with live culture.
My daughter also has a compromised immune system due to MS and really suffers when having been hit by Covid, you take great care of yourselves and try not to mix for now as numbers are rising again!
Very well done on saving the non takeaway money! Take great care ♥️
Very many thanks for your so very kind words, at this time they really do mean the world.

Have a peacefu evening and a lovely Tuesday, everyone! Keep warm and safe.

    Sue

So very sorry to hear about Jessie, Sue-UU.  I feel your pain, it's absolutely heart-breaking.  It's nearly 2 years since we lost our lovely Monty and I still can't get used to him not being here <3  It's still strange to be able to leave food/plates on low surfaces without worrying!  Sending you both lots of love xx

DH and I have now recovered from our bout of illness and have recommenced garden planning.  We have a bird feeder on the lawn, sitting in a small concrete circle, but the birds make such a mess underneath it, I would like to extend the circle in the hope that this will stop some of the mess and allow me to sweep it up.  So we are digging up a section of lawn and putting in some new plants to surround the circle.  I can hear DH muttering under his breath :D  It'll look lovely when we've finished, I'm sure  ;)

Another £5.76 in the pot.  Enjoy your week, sending hugs to anyone who needs them <3

A happy Thursday everyone! Have a great day.
For all those poorly in any way or feeling low. Take care and get well soon. Love and hugs from us all ♥️

    Very well done you, LMD

Thanks so very much, Siju, I've thought of you a few times due to Jessie because of Monty though I was really shocked that it's been that long since he went. Re the food, we have never needed to worry about putting low, not even going out of the room, she just would never touch any food that wasn't directly given to her, the only dog we've ever known like it! I know it'll only be a week tomorrow, but oh the heart-break is so awful, but then she's been a huge part of the family for 12 & 1/2 years.
I so wanted to put Monty's name when I wrote to you last week, I was convinced I was right, but worried I was getting muddled with our neighbour's dear black Lab Monty, who has also passed shortly ago.
Thanks so much for the love.
Re your bird feeder, T made a 'tray' which goes directly under the feeder so nothing goes onto the ground. See if you can think around something similar for yours so it takes away the ground problems. Our latest visitor is a Pied Wagtail, he first came about 2 months ago, I think he loves it also because we have water, a stream T made which flows into the pond.
Very good potting, and many thanks for the hugs.

Very good work with the cleaning as well as the potting, Saver-upper!

Really great potting in all ways, Ant!

Have a lovely day and great Friday, everyone!

I can't believe it's nearly 2 years either Sue-UU 😳 it's sad he never saw our grandchildren because he was lovely with kids. However when it came to food, if you left a biscuit on the coffee table or dropped something on the floor, it was gone in a flash!  Time is such a great healer, I've been looking at old pictures and videos of Monty since you mentioned Jessie and can now manage it with a smile instead of tears. 💕

Thank you for the bird feeder advice, I will speak to DH - it may stop him tutting 🤣
