Evening all. Two £2 coins potted today, which have been floating around in my purse for a couple of weeks.DH's surgical procedure is scheduled for 1st March, although whether that will change now that strikes involving critical care staff have been announced for that date I'm not sure. It's an overnight stay.Had my car serviced this month which took a chunk of my savings, and I haven't bought DH a birthday present yet. I was looking for a reclining chair/sofa in our local British Heart Foundation shop and found the perfect suite.... until we measured the sofa and it was a foot too long. It would fit in the living room, but would block access to a cupboard and as a recliner would be too heavy to keep moving so we could open the door. I had the money ready and everything, and I was gutted. He doesn't know I'm doing this and it probably doesn't sound like an exciting present but he would love a recliner, he's still got Xmas gift cards, etc., to spend and will no doubt get more for his birthday, so a new suite would be a practical solution for both of us. It might just not be on time, that's all!I'm intending to spend as little as possible during the short month from this pay day (yesterday) to next. I will be getting cashback on my supermarket shopping thanks to Nationwide so my main bank account will be seeing a bit more action but other than that I'm going to try and be good!SPCNo.18 #20 (17 £562.86 16 £678; 15 £1120.92; 14 £416.53; 13 £191.52; 12 £260.48; 11 £480.95; 10 £682.31; 9 £442.64)

Still potting quietly away, on track for my target. hope everyone is ok and coping with the nightmare time we all find ourselves in.Hubby is still waiting for his op but has an appointment at the hospital today so hopefully we'll be better informed as to how much longer it might be. He's not coping well with being ill and is so afraid of being alone ( and dying alone) he's following me around all the time and if I'm out of the room for more than 5 minutes he's aksing if I'm ok and where am I - even though I've said where I'm going, whick is usually upstairs or taking the bins out. He's always been so active and independant. it's very frustrating for him (and me at times I must admit)Sealed Pot Challenge member 28
