£19.50 to the sealed pot .
@rancid-a I found the probate forms for my dad's estate incredibly stressful so I understand your pain and I hope things get easier. I found the actual probate helpline very useful and when I made a mistake and quoted the wrong balance of his estate they were very kind. Especially as his estate was not large enough to pay inheritance tax. But they also explained all the bits of the form that I was confused about. It took me a while to get it all sorted, and I'm sure you'll get there too, even though it's a lot to manage right now.

rancid-a said:Good morning Sue, hello fellow potters.
I took the night off work last night, feeling under the weather. not stressed or anything. Anyway, whilst sat at my desk, I've had a chance to go through my late Mother's bank statements from the past 7 years. It's taken ages because they weren't in order at all
The Probate online forms scare me - once you fill in up to a certain part, there is no editing allowed and from what I've read, you can get into bother for doing it wrong. I've got to go finish them off later.
In a few hours, I have to go to Mum's house and wait for the house clearance team, it's costing me £245, Some of the things like wardrobes & double bed bases I couldn't possibly get down the stairs on my own, but the smaller items have either been chucked in the bin or dragged up to the charity shop.
I cant honestly remember what I've been putting in my tins this week...or last, I know I did approach it a few times but I've gone a bit blank.
Sorry to hear about your husband @MrsShazbat, I hope surgery goes well for him and I hope you will be okay too.
Take care all...It's all getting a bit frosty up here!
Lots of luck, and sending you virtual hugs at this difficult time

My delay repay claim for train delay has been approved. That’s a whole £1.30 for the pot. Was it worth standing stuck stationary on a packed train for nearly an hour for? No. But they all add up27/5/17 Mort 64705 BTs 1904031/12/17 Mort 59815 BT 1673007/04/20 Mort 49208 BT 1572128/07/20 Mort 47387 BT 1263414/11/20 Mort 45905 BT 10134 20/05/21 Mort 42335 BT 686811/08/22 Mort 32050 BT 2915Sealed Pot Challenge 16 Number 54

Evening all
Sorry I joined in and then went AWOL. Life's challenging and my brain goes blank if I'm stressed so its been an auto pilot kind of year to date, but have been adding pennies to the tin. Then I pulled myself together Saturday and withdrew a ten pound note plus I took a jar of 5p coins to the metro counting machine. It had been sitting in the cupboard for at least 5 years and was over £33 so that was nice to add in even if it was a bit of a cheat from an old pot.
Virtual hugs where they're needed. I've only read this page so far but I'm sorry for your loss rancid-a xxSPC 2023 #033 £352.08 /2024 £?
