Hi turtles, I’m sad that Wales are out of the footy!NSD today so think I’m on 13/15. It won’t be one tomorrow as I’m going Christmas shopping so that’s my effort on NSDs for the month. Quite pleased with that as I find shopping for Christmas easier in little bits every day rather than 1 or 2 big shops.Got decorations down from the loft, not sure when we’ll get around to put them up! Did 3 loads of washing have another ready to wash but nowhere to dry it so will have to wait.Quite healthy day but did have a mince pie!MIL is outdoing us over presents for ds. Made my feelings clear to DH but doubt anything will change!DS went on a school trip and was allowed £5 spending money. He spent it on a pen for the family to use and a heart necklace for me. It will forever be a precious jewel to me.Pay day tomorrow although it’s all accounted for so not a big deal. I do need to spend some time doing a forecast/budget and fill pots up.Did a lot off my to do list but probably added the same amount back on it as things pop into my head.Lightbulb moment - 17/08/2017 £17,033. Whoop whoop! Happy last day of November! I have been paid by everyone that owed me anything. Now the taxman will give me a rebate in April. So that will be fun. Had a dip into my state pension forecast and looked at voluntary contributions to top up one year. That is what goes on in F-holes Towers at 6.15am on a Wednesday morning. Whatever floats your boat.I am only working for 4 hours tonight, so I am going to make a start on cleaning my house in preparation for decoration. And contacting another 2 Roofy type people

I am absolutely delighted with what I got done, the caffeine helped a lot (will have to deal with that little habit later) and I picked my bricks carefully on the wall, shoving the crowbar into vulnerable spots - any sledge hammer wielding is firmly in DS3's court.7 -

Spendy couple of days (again!). Yesterday the dog was groomed and we did the weekly shop. Today the car insurance has been paid, and we are going out for lunch with a friend who lives some distance away. We meet part way between our respective homes once or twice a year for a pub lunch. However, yesterday I successfully operated on my old inkjet printer whose jets were clogged up preventing it from working properly / at all. I bought some stuff online for under a tenner (thought it was worth a go, to hopefully prevent a much larger spend on a new printer), followed the rather sketchy instructions and it worked! There is plenty of the 'stuff' left if it needs another dose in the future. So that at least was moneysaving.7

Thank you @beanielou.
Last night was a complete night off. Cold had rendered me incapable of bending down without feeling that my head was going to split. Had dinner and a nice deep hot bath. Had my best night's sleep in 3 weeks (4 year olds are much too wriggly in their single beds) dc seem to be recovering from their coughs and colds and although my cold feels worse - throat is on fire from coughing - my head doesn't hurt anymore and I have managed over 10000 steps already from walking to town and back to pick up tights etc for dc, I couldn't have done that yesterday! Got parents evening tonight, then will run the dc a nice special bath - picked up some bath bombs as they need a treat too for behaving really well.
I am grateful for
feeling more human today,
for the shops having everything I needed and wanted,
for my dc being wonderful,
For a nice shoulder massage from dh,
For November being good fun overall, (normally a hard month due to anniversaries of the passing of significant people,)
For hot chocolate and almond croissants,
For ice lollies to ease our sore throats,
For all you wonderful people joining and following the NST movement, for the support and words of wisdom which are invaluable to so many (and especially myself),
Thank you @grandmanerd for the time taken to lead us.
Hope you all have a wonderful day and bring on December 🥳❤

I was awake early so did bits of 'getting up' every half hour or so, so if I managed another couple of hours later I would be ready to go. Went out to catch the around 9 am bus only to find that that one goes at 1/4 to - presumably for all the nearly late college students who would be really late otherwise. Next bus was 21 minutes past so went to the office to pick up a timetable for the Wrightington bus for Friday. Still lots of time so walked as far as the entrance to the mall to check on the puzzle book shop that is closing (it said end of the month but didn't know exactly when - must have been last weekend because they've cleared it).
Back to the front of the bus station and only 5 minutes before the bus came. Travelled as far as Morries and bought food and drink (sandwich meal deal, salad bar, salads meals in sealed boxes - for Friday and drinks). Yesterday I took 3 cans with me (cups left the bungalow a while since and gave tea bags etc to helpful pixie). The 'shop' had only taken me 10 minutes so sat on the bench by the SM to wait until the bus came into view. Phone call - plumber had forgotten he and his wife were going for their COVID boosters today (that's why he had a gap in his busy schedule), will rearrange sometime.
Ah well, still things to collect from mum's. When I got there I sat down for a snack and a drink. Brought the bins back in as they had been collected. Picked up a couple of bits of rubbish that they had been covering and pulled out the brooms and mops from the holder behind the bins. Took the walker to the shed and loaded it with 3 of the bags from yesterday. The next bus had just gone (checked my phone) so ate my sandwich, brought Henry from the shed into the house and pulled a bag and 3 packs of salt out of the boiler cupboard.
15 minutes to the next bus so set off. Saw the bus but he was only going towards Morries and the College so plenty of time to get to the stop. Got on the bus and one of the back wheels fell off the walker. Did a 3 point turn to get into a seat and then tried to screw the wheel back on - no dice and a large nut missing. Stayed on until the town hall and got it across to my house, steering it on 3 wheels (did sit on one of the benches and had a look first).
Came in, sat and had a drink, thought about strategy. Needed a rest (and lunch) but went back outside and spent half an hour using a crowbar to move bricks out of the wall. Second half I asked DS3 to check on me if I wasn't back in 15 minutes. I stood on the neighbour's side tackling the wall from the side but was worried that if a lot of bricks fell I'd be stuck with neighbours bricks on 2 sides and ours in front of me. Going to demonstrate my technique to DS3 before I go back to mum's. He can use the sledgehammer on a chunk of the top of the wall (the repair I did 20 odd years ago) once all the underneath bricks have gone.
So I'm now eating my 'festive baguette' and will head back after a little rest. Could do 2 more trips but will probably stick at one - I have to use my stick from the bus stop to mum's because I want to bring the good walker back with me. Grateful for bus timetables, being flexible, salads.6
