Evening turtles
Really felt groggy and a bit run down this morning. Luckily I could work from home. Did a very basic workout, had a coffee and started to feel a little more human!
Put a quick shopping list together. Was feeling utterly uninspired so grabbed a few simplycook boxes to take all the thought out of cooking lol. Checked finances as final dd of the month has gone through. Have about £40 left, need some protein powder so will probs just buy that and keep any spare.
Had to pop down to the basement to put my massive box of toilet roll away so took the opportunity to grab some Xmas decorations. They won't be going up just yet though!
Debating whether to cancel my planned hair cut on Saturday as I just want to relax and do nothing!
Am working at part-time job this evening, won't finish until 9.30 so it's a bit of a long day but at least it's done and out of the way.10 -

Had a good day today, managed a couple of seasonal cleaning jobs as well as the generic everyday housework. Picked up my last Xmas present and a new bauble from our local pop up shop. This one is based on local crafts and is full of beautiful things, would have spent a fortune but didn't as I knew I couldn't!
Grateful for local talent and people willing to showcase on their behalf, a dry day, Christmas present shopping being finished, paying off 2 debts (still a long way to go on the others but 2 less I owe money to), snuggles with my ds who feels poorly, comforting for both of us especially when he rests his head on my shoulder. Hope you are all well.2024 decluttering Campaign

The lurgy is taking hold of our household too. Did a quick top up shop before I'm off to bed. Grateful for DS's help and suggestion to go to Liddl instead of @ldi. They weren't meant to have geese in till the 19th and for about £40. But found and bought one today for £24. Result.DEBT 02/25: total £6100 Debt free date 12/259

Lots of gentle tidying and sorting done. Bed based this afternoon. I have a large lettuce box with several smaller boxes inside and some large yoghurt tubs and have sorted into separate categories. All contained, easy to find things and will be easy to put away when I decide where they are to go.
Sneezing my head off and going downhill rapidly. Had a little nap around 4 pm and just had a very comforting bowl of baked beans. lots of filing of stuff I want to keep but isn't needed at once (clearing the way to deal with the urgent stuff).
Grateful for sleep, baked beans and going to have my final lot of pills and then read until I fall asleep.8 -

Monday NSD 12.Dropped DS at school and walked to library to return books and collect a Christmas storybook for DS.Then walked to the post office where I picked up a parcel for OH. Bumped into an old friend of my Gran’s. I felt happy but a bit emotional seeing her. Happy because she was still alive but emotional to see her fragile-looking (she was a big broad intimidating woman to my childhood eyes) and seeing her made me think of my Gran who I miss… I wish I’d got to know my Gran more… had the chance to find out more about her life… I wish she’d got to meet DS like OH’s Gran did.I had a very busy day at work but nipped to Mum’s for lunch. Told her about meeting Gran’s friend. Mum gave me a bit of family history… how Gran became friends with her. This evening I earned a few more SwagB and hit another 1000 points… have used them to get another £10 Tezco voucher. I hope the voucher appears by tomorrow because I’ll use it to pay for top up shop.Grateful today to bump into Gran’s friend, for free books from the library, for earning another £10 on SB, and for OH reading the first few chapters of new library book (a Christmas story) to DS and I before bed.

A bit achy this morning, after my time in the garden yesterday. Still did exercises though. Work went fine. Dropped a new colleague home, lots of mist rising from the fields, was quite eerie in the twilight! Pottered about a bit inside. After tea DS1 shaved DS3's hair again, made a good job of it. Took a better photo of all 3 DS's to out in family Xmas cards, then did 2 sewing jobs. DS going to take DH to the airport tomorrow, so I don't have to do the early morning run before work, then he'll drop the sewing off for me. Helped him open s new online bank account, then he booked his flights to France in the new year. He's never been abroad before, so will be a big adventure! Had emails from my best friend from school, nice we're still in touch after all these years.
Grateful for nice weather, DS being chauffeur tomorrow, a good film on tvUse it up, wear it out

Morning Turtles, Haven’t checked in since Saturday just caught up.
Sunday & Monday were unplanned spend days. I did have £20 left in my petrol pot so bought ds a new raincoat in the sales. Then my fuel light came on!! So I went all in and bought fuel, 2 new tops and a pair of trainers! Bit of juggling needed to cover it.Starting to feel a bit unorganised but have made a plan and will tick a few jobs off today. For some reason I’ve volunteered to do the footy coaches Christmas hampers collection and another one for Christmas do organiser!!Took DS to the lights switch on last night and met up with friends. He spent his own money on rides, games, candy floss etc and really enjoyed it. I had a lovely time too, bought chippy chips on the way home.Sold 2 bedside cabinets on Fb not for much but saves another tip run.I put all my online spends on a credit card & pay off straight away. Just need for transactions to post to check it’s as it should be as got a few refunds due.Hoping for NSD today. Pay day tomorrow! Will post later on todays events.Lightbulb moment - 17/08/2017 £17,033. Current CC debt £0.00 DFD 31/7/24 🥳. Member #8 of Fiver Friday Challenge £175/£2608 -
Thank you @Thrifty_Taylor and @apple_muncher. Got another one to clear in my sights, an extra £80 to find in December but hopeful because I have nothing to buy for Christmas other than fruit and veg. Trying to clear all the smaller ones first and then work on overpaying the bigger ones after April (if my calculations are correct).
Hope you all have a lovely day.2024 decluttering Campaign
