Evening turtles
Cycled to my friend's house first thing and took her dog for a walk then cycled back. Only got a bit wet and muddy! Worked from home today, first day back after leave so spent a lot of time catching up on emails etc. Updated the budget as well as hadn't done it since going away.
Did pop to the shops as forgot a few bits of veg yesterday so had to top up again! But stuck to the list and got another quick walk in as well.
Got prepped for the office tomorrow and did 15 minutes of quick yoga. Got a long day tomorrow and doubt I'll move anywhere near as much as today, so making the most of being able to exercise.
New TV arrived, really pleased with it, feels like a lot of TV for the money, need to look into how to recycle the old one.8 -
Evening Turtles, I hope Monday has been kind to you.
Checked budget against what’s left in my bank all ok and still on track.
Ordered a few things online today for ds birthday/Christmas.
Healthy food wise today & no alcohol. In a good mood today and also made my hm soup I forgot to make yesterday.
Donated a gift set to work’s charity raffle. It’s bath stuff and I tend to have showers so won’t be missed.
All lists updated.
Added foil to my list of basics to have in as I never quite know how much is left on the roll. Also some gravy granules as a back up might be useful.
NSDs - Bought a card & some gifts online today so still 3/15. Was going to pop out later but felt it was a panic buy as don’t know what I’m looking for so decided not to bother.
Grateful for: roast dinner, working from home, completing little tasks.
Used tcb for online shopping. Prepared some birthday cards & presents ready to drop off tomorrow. Emptied a cupboard full of confidential waste, too much to shred but my sister is going to use on her log burner.

Today I am grateful for changing my Monday morning routine and it worked better than the old routine, for the chemist having my prescription (been eking out the pills and had the last one this morning, so needed them to be in stock), for dc doing some hwk with DH and alone, for not being inundated with work emails, for getting some elf knitting done.

Still on NSD 2. Spendy month so far, Trip to town today to buy fire cement and sealing stuff for the stove. I have also had to pay mine and OH's self assessment tax bills, and the car was MOT'd today. It is due a service next week too. I have ordered new boots - mine are several years old, and starting to let water in, so I will keep them for dry days / dressier occasions (they still look good when polished up). The new ones are a more casual style. All this is within budget, no credit involved, but it is a bit painful seeing all that money go out! The car passed its MOT thankfully, so it could have been worse. We had soup from the freezer for lunch, and I made a beef casserole in the SC for dinner, which we had with mashed potatoes, and home grown carrots and beans.Grateful to have enough money to cover commitments, the car passing its MOT, and warming food on a horrible wet day.10

Work was busy so the day went quite quickly. Like it best when it's like that.
NSD#2 which is great!
Came home after work to get changed and collect mum to go to my niece's for her 30th Birthday. Nice Greek food delivered, will order from there again. Lovely cake made by a friend. Toddler great nephew got over excited and broke my niece's birthday mug from her mum. Nice to see everyone but came home shortly afterwards as it was getting too chaotic.
Friend sent me a lovely decoupage box that she nolonger wanted and a roll of heart patterned cellophane wrapping. She sent it with her husband (he's my boss) and unfortunately it meant he left his lunchbox and drink at home. Don't think we were very popular!
Bought myself a new jumper yesterday from M*talan and wore it tonight. It was so warm and such a lovely duck egg blue. Will see how my budget goes then might buy another in a different colour.
Gratitudes: soft and warm new jumper, seeing everyone at the party, tasty Greek food, the lovely decoupage box from my friend.

Yoga & exercises completed.
Took DH for his appointment, collected a toiletries order (for next month presents) & the bottle of shower gel I'd won. Picked up DH, then met a friend to look in the week long festive goods CS. Bought quite a few things, including bedding, jumpers, 2 new books & some candles for presents, a nice jigsaw too.
Had dinner when I got home, then placed cut out squares in order, ready to stitch together tomorrow for the blanket top. Entered incomings/outgoings in my side hustle account book, then went for a massage. Haven't had one with hot stones before. Had a lot of tension in my neck & shoulders, so quite tender, but a couple of hours later & I feel a lot better! Finished stitching mum's customer's toys together after washing up. Looking forward to being able to start on my knitting again tomorrow.
Grateful for festive shop bargains, pampering time, finishing sewing up the toysUse it up, wear it out
Make do or do without!

Morning all, just back from a run. Just under 5k and my quickest per km run so far. The training is working as it should. Had a day of decluttering yesterday, going to go for a nice long walk with ds later (after school run) as long as it doesn't rain too hard we will hit the park.... ooh the glamour 😆. Got our beaver and squirrels night tonight so will be chaotic with managing who goes where but worth it as both dc love going.
Grateful for
1. run going well, really helps boost your confidence.
2. My dc, best decision I ever made them 3 😁.
3. Seeing a gradual improvement in clutter. Going to decorate after recovered from marathon so super excited about that too
Hope you all have a fabulous Tuesday.

Morning all,
Loads achieved yesterday inc;
- NSD
- AFD
- walk with the pooch
- another £200 off the cc (now just £1789.94 to go! Will we clear before the new year?! It's going to be really difficult, but I like a challenge!)
-finalised who we're having for xmas dinner.....13!!!!!!!!!!
I used to love having everyone over at xmas and new year, but these days it just makes me feel weary at the thought of it! Too many personalities to clash and so much hard work for no thanks at all (I may be being dramatic there). I wish I could get that xmas spark back I used to have! Blimey, I've just read that back and realised how cynical I've become!!!
Have a good day all!
