Obviously not a quality whisky and you know nothing about it.
    I know what I like.
    And what I don't.

I wasn't stating a personal preference. My great-grandfather was a distiller, the method I described is how it's meant to be taken.

Your 'letting it warm on your tongue' comment restored my faith in you Bendy.
Shout out to people who don't know what the opposite of in is.

I have some bee hive parts in the freezer.
You can't leave it at that... :-(
I would imagine that it is to guard against any risk of passing varroa infection along when the hive parts are re-used.  Some folks do the same with their luggage after a foreign trip to avoid bringing bed bugs home.
Its for killing wax moth larvae / eggs. As we are now entering the off season the supers are removed (some know them as honey boxes), once off the hive any wax moth can freely reproduce so freezing the frames and sealing them up until the spring kills them off prevents re-infestation.

Varroa is only an issue in a live colony, there is little need to use this technique for those as they only live on live bees / larvae.

I've done the wool clothing in the freezer, belt and braces after a moth infestation.
My pillow lived in the freezer this summer heatwave, it gave some relief for the first couple of hours going to bed. I also tried putting a t shirt in there to cool me down, but found it unpleasant.

Weirdest think I currently keep in the freezer is hops for brewing, and coffee but that's not really weird.
