Storing paper in the freezer

I kept shed loads of dried chillies in my freezer a few years back, when single, and growing far too many chilli plants!
Oh and I think I put jeans in there once a few years ago when people said it was a good way to clean them. Didn't really bother doing it again lol.
Once put a hard drive in there which was malfunctioning, made it work!1 -
A well crafted gelatin print has a depth & luminosity that just can not be replicated by digital means. And going out with the big cannon* scares the heck out of the natives...MalMonroe said: I do know that keeping photographic paper in a freezer isn't that weird though because my ex was a professional photographer and did it all the time, in our domestic freezer. Do you still have to do it though? Or have times moved on now?
I would have thought that things would have moved out of the ice age. (Sorry).
Any language construct that forces such insanity in this case should be abandoned without regrets. –

Treasure the moments that you have. Savour them for as long as you can for they will never come back again.2 -
Yes. While I've never frozen my luggage, I have frozen a cow-hide pouffe, stuffed with raw wool, that I brought back from Africa - not for bed-bugs or any tropical beasties but for the subsequent moth infestation that it attracted once home.YoungBlueEyes said:Does freezing your luggage kill bed bugs?!
Freezing is also a good way of wood-worm control for wooden ornaments or small pieces of furniture.
I've also frozen rice to kill off storage pests.
Oh, and I guess I've dug up my rhubarb plants a couple of times over the years and given them a light freezing, when the winter has been a bit mild and done the same with various hedgerow seeds to aid germination.
Useful thing a freezer!3 -

A man who studied birds was given a rare Parrot as a present, but he soon discovered that the bird liked to use rude words and behave badly.
He tried hard to change the Parrot's bad language and attitude by talking to it politely and playing it soft music; anything in fact that could show the bird a good example to follow. But nothing worked. He shouted at the bird and the bird shouted back. He shook the bird, but that just made matters worse.
Finally, in desperation, he put the parrot in the freezer. For a few moments he heard the bird squawk and kick and scream, but then there was silence. Not a sound for nearly a minute. Worried that he might have hurt the bird, he quickly opened the freezer door.
The parrot calmly stepped out and said: "I believe I may have offended you with my rude language and actions. I will endeavour at once to correct my behaviour. I really am truly sorry and beg your forgiveness."
Astonished at the bird's change in attitude, he was about to ask what had made such a dramatic change, when the parrot continued:
"May I ask what the chicken did?"
A man walked into a car showroom.
He said to the salesman, “My wife would like to talk to you about the Volkswagen Golf in the showroom window.”
Salesman said, “We haven't got a Volkswagen Golf in the showroom window.”
The man replied, “You have now mate".5 -
One of my pet dislikes is when someone "shows" you their latest whisky.DanDare999 said:
Are you seriously keeping whisky in the freezer?Bendy_House said:1 -
I prefer being shown a whisky (which I've very unlikely to ever drink as I don't like the muck) to being made to listen to their darling Tristan or Isolde attempting to sing the latest hit by Maroon 5 or S Club 7.Eldi_Dos said:

As for the freezer.....sweaters. Or anything else that may be moth infested.
Also - credit cards. Frozen in a block of ice. To keep someone from using them at 3 in the morning when they are drunk. (not me btw)
Also - high end stylus for a turn table.....a friend used to put hers in the freezer when she was going out of town in case anyone tried to steal it. If you have every looked at top end stereo kit you will know how pricy these things are.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards.
