Just checking  -  is this correct name per documentation:-

    CARDIFF FAMILY JUSTICE CENTER

  • On the allocation paper it says “In the County Court of Cardiff”
but then the claimant WS says “Cardiff civil and family justice centr”
and so did one of their automatic email replies

That is the correct court name above but it was not like that on your WS
  • I did just see that silly mistake of mine. Thank you! Everything else okay?
  • Hi after further look on here I’ve seen a fellow member @golfr12 put in their defence,:

    17. This finding is underpinned by the Government, who stated in 2022 that attempts to gild the lily by adding 'debt recovery costs' were 'extorting money'. The Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities ('DLUHC') published in February 2022, a statutory Code of Practice, found here: https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/private-parking-code-of-practice

    18. Whilst the new Code is temporarily stalled for a final Impact Assessment, it is anticipated that adding false costs/damages or 'fees' to enhance a parking charge claim is likely to remain banned. In a section called 'Escalation of costs' the (stalled but incoming in 2023) statutory Code of Practice says: "The parking operator must not levy additional costs over and above the level of a parking charge or parking tariff as originally issued."

Would they be worth mentioning in my WS?

I have to send my WS by tomorrow so I’m a bit worried

Yes, of course that's standard wording from the template defence.  If you DIDN'T use our template defence then of course you can crib from it for your WS.

If you did use our template defence then there is no need to repeat what your defence already stated.
