Morning all
after yesterday’s unexpected dry day today is wet, so I shall get the washing out of the WM and fold it.
I’ve washing up to put away and DW to empty. And I will be attached to my phone as the oncologist is to call but doesn’t necessarily stick to scheduled time. Not complaining though, as those appointments would be in Steel City, phone appointments save me having to schlepp over there.
And todays tea is HM chicken soup. Perfect for an Autumn day. The four trees across the roadare clad in red and gold now, bit of green still on one.

Morning all. Hope you're all ok today and pleased that Valli is feeling more Valli- ish.
Yesterday, I changed the bedding and sofa covers so today I have washing draped everywhere.
Got up at five this morning, did dailies, walked Poppet before the rain and I've done one work shift. Going to see how much flying I can now get done before meeting friends for lunch.Spend less now, work less later.10 -
Glad you're feeling more like yourself again, Valli x
Update - if it's gone, it's done:
- finish off a few little bits I didn't quite complete yesterday [I won't itemise them again here, but they're on my paper list]
- ...WMx3(?) and hang out, then dodge the showers [only one load, but it's been raining heavily since 8.00 and the forecast says it will continue until at least midday, so not worth hanging outdoors]
- chicken in SC [will now be roasted in the small oven, using a recipe in the new SW magazine which DH gave me this morning]
- phone my mobile provider to get onto a cheaper deal [will do that next whilst finishing my coffee]
- take DH to the chiropodist [and he will get the bus home]
- Rosie's walk.
I have a slim chance of finishing everything on my list9 -
We just had a lightening strike right outside our house.. that thunder is deafening.. the rain is beyond torrential.. and it is so dark.. is my heating on?? No it is not.. I do have my dressing gown on though.
It is very much a slow cooker day.. I may have to do corned dog though because I don't have any chicken left. I will still have to do different food for the small 4, Boog and myself though.. so the SC would feed OH and DS2.. do you see why I don't bother?
I slept really badly and my poor old tum is having a bad day.

Definitely think I need to join you all. We tend to do a big, 8 hour long tidy up mad dash just before any special events (family visiting, holiday like we had recently) and stuff definitely slips in between. We're expecting our first child in March and I'm hopeful if I can get into a good routine now we might have the basic foundations of a semi-clean house before it arrives!
I don't work on Thursdays so the temptation is always to say "I'll just do that cleaning on Thursday..." but then I never do because I want to relax on my day off, so a bit of structure won't hurt£2023 in 2023 challenge - £17.79 January11 -

Evening all,
Thank you for the WAC party last night. I joined you all at 2.30am, and stayed until dawn. Well 5.30am, not quite dawn, as daylight took it’s time to arrive this morning, what with the heavy rain and all that.We had a lovely afternoon / evening with DD in the uni city. It was lovely to see her after so many weeks.Today it was back to the grindstone, although motivation was severely lacking. Dinner was easy - a Valli make-one-prep-one special. Kitchen tidied and put to bed. That’s about me for the day. Please don’t invite me to the WAC party tonight - I’m too long in the tooth for two nights partying on the trot 🤣10 -
Hi all
Woke up with a sore throat again, guess I didnt properly get rid of this bug last time. Fayolle that is quite an impressive stint in the WAC, I think you need a night off.
Work has been manic, technically I dont need to work tomorrow as I have done my hours! There is flying to do, I did clean the kitchen tonight but other bits need attention.
I have done an online delivery, I got a £10 voucher, but its more expensive than Li@l so not sure how much I am really saving. Oh well.
Welcome kissmenow x10 -
