Morning xx
It's tipping down here. I put my coat and shoes on to feed the birds and put out the rubbish and recycling. Another bag sorted through and emptied this morning. And I wanted to get the resulting piles out of the house.
Pile of paper - recycled
Pile of cards - recycled
Waste bin bag crammed with non recyclable stuff- binned
Pile of shredding- next to shredder
Some items for DS - bagged
Some items for cs - bagged
Keep? Not very much actually. Some photos (culled), book marks, brooch, paper clips, a pen, a folder, my GCSE results slips, and Right to Buy bumph.
I'm having breakfast and a coffee before tackling the next bag.
Love to all
Rxx

Pigpen, would you like me to add your name to the Secret Santa list? Valli, you're on and I hope your headache's gone today. We have six so far, so that's a good start. If anyone's stuck for ideas I have a few that would be under the suggested budget that would also weigh under 100g, and qualify as a large letter size as opposed to parcel post.I overdid the hobbling about on Friday and Saturday and my foot is now a bit swollen and achey. I really don't know whether I should be walking on it or not without the boot, but I was told there would be pain so I think I'm doing this about right. Anyway, more lovely meal planning can carry on today so I'm not wasting my time and I can give the ankle a rest. There are areas on the top floor that could do with a bit of low level dusting. I may save that until tomorrow. I'm not sure that pensioners are legally allowed to dust on Sundays.Better is good enough.10

Thank you HB.
I had a restless night with rain hammering on the roof (dormer bungalow), and finally got to sleep at about 5.30 - but then of course I overslept so I am being a heathen kind to myself today.
I have managed to clear approx 2m of bookshelves in my study and sent photos and lists to DS2 and DDiL2 so that they can have first pick, then the rest will go to church or college.
Round, you never cease to amaze me!Keep going! I hope your DS and his dad enjoy their second childhoods
Nice little dragons, pigpen - but DH would say that they don't come anywhere near the Welsh sort in terms of fire-breathing skills
Must go and put rice pudding in the SC and make a cuppa, then onto the dreaded sewing machine - for which my reward will be batch baking later this afternoon, after Rosie's walk. There is blue sky at last and the sun is just coming out, so I must send her out in the garden - she was offered the chance at 9.30 last night and 9.00 this morning but refused both times because she doesn't like getting wet!
(((Hugs))) and spoons to all in need and an extra one of each to Valli xxx10 -
Morning everyone, it's really horrible weather here in my part of Kent. Thunderstorms and torrential rain..poor little dog went and hid behind the sofa till it finished. He's now out in his walk with DH, hopefully it'll lay off rai ung long enough till they get home 🤞
I've managed to pack up 3 boxes for storage, mainly due to trying to find my turmeric tablets which I still haven't found I hasten to add. DH is going to take the boxes to the storage unit while I make the parsnip soup for lunch 😉
Valli hope you are ok honey and the headache has gone or at least eased. If you need me to do next week's list just let me know 😃
Off to shower and get the parsnip soup ready to cook.
Hugs and spoons to all that need them ♥️

Smiling at iona 😊. I'm amazed at myself to be honest. I've taken over the decluttering thread - I have a mental image of them stood, jaws dropped, wonder where all this stuff is coming from. My Room of Doom that's where.

HB... Yes please
Iona.. no fire but with my yarn stash that is probably a good thing!
OH collecting bunkbeds for DD1 later.
I am going to battle through some laundry.
OH has to decide if he wants to continue working mon-fri 12-8 with a different team or stay on the same team and work sun-thurs 10-6.. his brain is melting.
I need a shower.. but had to get dressed so we could get Meem to work (with DS1) because all the buses have been cancelled.
Plan of action because I am lazy and need a rocket filled with spoons! ..- Cuppa
- feed girls
- empty dryer
- refill dryer to fluff the cat fur off the dry towels
- load up the 3 airers with wet stuff
- get the stuff off the line which is not drying because the sky has been leaking all week..
- Rinse outside stuff and hang to dry
- TD the socks/pants
- Sort out the tin cupboard
- wipe the accessible work surfaces
- look in the shed for paint for Grandpinks room.
- sort parcels to post
- list a minumum of 5 items to sell
- whizz Feargal about on the stairs
- Clear the suitcase and at least 1 box off the landing.
I have sausage casserole and new potatoes in the fridge, chicken defrosting for tomorrows dinner and the girls can have pasta and whatever tonight so dinner is nice and easy.

Hello.
Now who was sorting kitchen drawers earlier? I thought, what a good idea. So I have sorted one kitchen drawer which led to sorting out drawers in the bedroom, sorting the first aid box and boxes of tea towels, aprons and oven gloves. Lots of card in the recycling.
Having a quick lunch then will put hoover round.
No walk here yet as it's still raining.Spend less now, work less later.10 -
Jazee that was me, it is chucking it down here, so far 2 drawers done, cat 2 removed from draw loads of times, as he 'thinks' it is a good place to nose/ play around in
3 old wooden spoons removed, (suitable for gardening with, I am sure I can find a use for them) crumbs removed, items back in place.

Hi all
Pouring down here, managed an hour out on my bike first thing before the rain started. All clean clothes put away, upstairs dusted and hoovered, bathroom floor swished.
Just having a bit of a sit down with Strictly on catch up then the kitchen, utility, DS loo and my office need attention.
Hope you are OK Valli x11
