Last minute work - compiling and sending objection to a large quarry due to be excavated in our village. Why is it that, only when you get the automated response from your MP, does it say they won't read it unless you have put full name, address and phone number? Yes I appreciate that she can't ask me those details before I've emailed her, but still.....er, I'll go to bed now.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.10

Good morning,
WFH this morning and then off this pm in order to go visit DD in uni city. I didn’t really need to take the 1/2 day as we aren’t now going until a bit later, but I had it left over and it needs to be used before end December. As the people at the top at work are no longer motivated (ready to take their money and run), it’s getting harder for the rest of us to keep on keeping on, although as ever I am up to my eyes in it with (anything but) “quick” requests from the new owners.
I’ve taken advantage of being here to stick a load in the wm - DH seems to have had one of his Turn Out weeks, so it’s a good job I didn’t have anything desperate to squeeze in the machine.I need to call the BS back later, although they have emailed me details of the appointment made. Not clear whether it is in person or on z00m though…
Have a good day all x9 -
Just seen Honeybear's post about the Christmas Card Swap.... It is in my diary to send out my usual email etc this week...Am sorry for the delay have been a bit stuck with various things., I hadn't forgotten besides I don't normally send out the emails till after the 20th of this month. I was early last year for some unknown reason....lol. But have no fear I haven't forgotten it...
I was going to do the Christmas card swap this week, it was in my diary to do. Going back over previous ones the emails aren't normally sent out till the 20th or after.
Why didn't anyone email me or pm me to see if I was doing it rather than jumping in.
Sorry but this has hurt me a lot. And yes emails will be going out later today re the Christmas card swap. I wasn't going to let it die off
I don't mean this to come across as snarky it isn't meant to be, honest. I'm just hurt..and hormonal 😢
I love you all I promise 😘😘Mortgage Free as of 20.9.17Declutter challenge 2023, 2024 🏅 🏅⭐️⭐️

Morning, it's a lovely start to the day here and very mild so hoping to make the most of it.
Like HB said I'm posting as would hate to see thread go but I don't have anything interesting to add
OH still in bed, but probably a good thing as he was coughing a lot yesterday and feeling very tired. Hopefully a good sleep will help him fight whatever lurgy it is.
Spending and saving updated
DW sorted
WM on and it can go out today
Today's plans include
HHI
Change our sheets
Walk
Hairdressers this afternoon
Trip to supermarket and diy store
We hung something on the wall yesterday afternoon after we brought it out of the container but neither of us are sure if it's now hung high enough. Hung in the stairwell, went low enough to be able to see it from the living room but it seems low when you come downstairs. Although we spend a lot more time in the living room than we do coming down stairs. It will also be hard to hang higher as we have open stairs (no vertical bits between treads) so putting a ladder on them is challenging.
Kettle going on whilst I sort cat trays.
Have a good day xx8 -
I apologise to you all, I was panicking because of the strikes and thinking they would impact the Card Swap.
day off today because I’m having my pre chemo blood test. I also need to pick up my pre meds because I took them all last week as they are to be taken an hour before treatment. Despite the cooling cap I’m having hair loss…shedding like a moulting dog here and that, and last weeks mess up has done my mood no good at all.

I think we are all panicking to some extent - there must be very few people in this country who are not worried about one thing or another. I know I am. (((Hugs))) to all xxx
This morning, rather than buying more plastic plant labels (I've re-used the old ones many times, on both sides, but now I can't get the permanent ink writing off) I searched my stashes for some wooden lollipop sticks to make eco-friendly ones. I didn't find lollipop sticks, but I did come across a bundle of stirring sticks from $trbcks, which will do the job perfectly well, and in the process I decluttered a whole boxful of crafty bits that I no longer need or want. Some will go to the CS, some to DGS3+4's school, some (eg ribbons) have been added to my main stash for that commodity, but lots of cut-up bits of paper have gone in the bin.
It is very windy out, but there is a glimmer of sunshine, so I am going to grab the opportunity to finish planting the bulbs and bedding, pot up two winter flowering jasmines which have taken root in one of my pots, label the Michaelmas daisies, and sweep up the leaves off the lawn (it may sound daft to do that, but it does make poo picking a whole lot easier!)
My other aspirations for today are to
- put a date in my diary
- sort out 2 birthday cards
- sort out some more paperwork
- drop off at the CS (they locked the door just as I got there yesterday)
- have a nana nap after lunch
- take Rosie for her walk
- take DH to his church council meeting this evening.
Must get moving! Hope everyone has a good day xxx

Ok I've pulled up my big girl pants, wiped my snotty nose and had a cup of tea.
Onwards and upwards, and I think it's nice that we can get things off our chest without any recriminations from anyone, and we can all stay friends and one happy family.
I've definitely reused something recently rather than buying new - my mother in law's living room furniture (3 piece suite, dining room table and chairs and units) - bit drastic I know but saves me taking ancient carpy furniture to the new place when we do eventually move next year. Besides it's like it came out of the show room so we weren't sending that to house clearance...lol And I've gained a bigger living room...😃
I've decluttered a cup of tea, an old rug from the living room and the cat from my lap 😀😀
Huge hugs xxxxxMortgage Free as of 20.9.17Declutter challenge 2023, 2024 🏅 🏅⭐️⭐️
