Scoots in late as usual. Thanks for lists.
My list was totally off piste last week but got done fairly, but not brilliantly well!
However I am ahead this week as we had a friend round for dinner yesterday so all downstairs is clean, upstairs bathroom is good to go and we have enough leftover dinner for at least tonight if not tomorrow.
Paperwork prepared for this week's assessments but I need to organise my bag/trolley of test materials as they came home for the summer!
Garden has been worked on periodically although with continuing reasonable amounts of sun and showers, it's amazing what is still growing and flowering. Need to pick apples to take to my Mum's on Thursday, freeze any which won't keep.
Exercise going ok-ish; did a run this morning and last Friday, swam on Saturday. Swim planned tomorrow and I think I've booked Body Pump for Wed on the way to uni.
Roxy Music were great on Friday evening apart from missing the last train home.....combination of poor geography and my friend's medical condition which prevents her from walking fast or queuing. Staff at the O2 were great when we went in, but of course everyone arrived over a 2hr period whereas we all came out at the same time. Thankfully friend is an experienced *ber user so we got one home from Tottenham, I finally arrived home just before 1.30am .....haven't done that for years. The lake swim at 10am woke me up.....
Read the meters this morning and sent readings off.
This evening we're going to a local meeting as they want to build a quarry just outside our village! The fact that they have promised in 10-15yrs time it will be converted to a beautiful swimming lake doesn't placate me at all.
The rest of today must be devoted to sorting out bags for uni and sorting out clothes for hol on Thursday (somehow have to fit in one assessment, one funeral and a drum lesson before I go....).Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.11 -
Hello and hugs.
Typically I stayed asleep through the Turkish Delight scoffing that seems to have happened in the WAC last night. Will try harder tonight, if there is a morsel left.
Totally off piste here as well:
One load of towels though the wm first thing appear to be pretty much dry - not sure if DH hung them out before he went into the office or not.
Saturday’s LO roast turned into bbq pulled pork baps for dinner, and mighty tasty they were too with some hm coleslaw that was lurking in the fridge. Ferrrling - 2 more boxes cleared from the fridge. WULTD, kitchen tidied, then I cleared the ironing pile 😇. Now I need to place an order with Land of Lakes, then start the 2nd front border of this darn cardigan. I so want to move on to some chunky wool which is calling me from its box.9 -
Sniff sniff Turkish delight ?? Wondered why I was awake a lot last night.
bath mats washed
bathroom cleaned
handbag sorted
Still feel rubbish but am almost last “man” standing at work.9 -
No serious flying but I have WUALTD. DW ready to run.
went out to get the rabbits in and realised the cat has cornered a mouse. Cat flap locked.

Late night reporting; all items on list done except piling clothes to pack.
Uni bags and resources emptied, filled with what I need rather than what I've accumulated over a term, ready to go. Laptop checked and updated.
Double checked check-in/check-out times at hotel, checked entertainment times, written down routes and postcodes, printed booking forms etc.
Various other bits of admin.
Went to 'quarry meeting'.
Felt as if I am getting a cold; Covid test negative thankfully. A cold I can cope with; flu jab tomorrow.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.9 -
Morning all, hope there was no one in the WAC.
I woke early so thought I may as well get up. Planning lots of flying today starting with some admin.
Have a great day everyone.
And an hour on from post above, admin is done but I'm suddenly feeling really unwell so am heading back to bed.Spend less now, work less later.11 -
Morning all
Sorry to disappoint, Jazee, but I was in the WAC. Hunted out any dustings of Turkish Delight, but resorted to custard creams. I’ll leave the rest of the packet for anyone who wants it tonight.Up early for a non work day, thanks to the WAC visit. Confused by DH still being here as I thought that he was going to work, turns out that is later on, so he is still here an under my feet. Bed stripped and wm running. Hair washed.
I’m going out to a gc today with a friend who is having a terrible year of it. We are going to wander and be Ladies Who Lunch, as a treat.
I have an admin toad that I really have to tackle. I have been ignoring it as I need to contact a bank / BS, and that is hopeless. Their opening times don’t coincide with any time that I have. You can male an online booking, but that has to be in opening times. Where’s the use in that?! The toad has now fully grown and I might have left it too late. Whoops.
I hope all poorlies feel better soon. Tis the season, I guess.
Have a good day all xx9
