Do you currently hold ( or have you ever held) an account with Santander?

Qyburn said:Hi, regarding the application process at what stage do we think the application is complete and Santander aren't going to come back asking for more details or passports etc etc? We've both opened accounts. I've received four emails, the initial application, the email with sort code and account number, one with online ID and one with "Important information about your ESAVER".The missus has received only the first two, the initial application and the sort code/account number. She's not received the email with login ID.According to the emails both accounts are ready to receive money, but I don't want to do that until I'm sure we won't be held up with these additional process. In particular my missus who has a lot less patience with these matters always seems to strike unlucky and hits issues where my identical application did not. Thanks,
I would suggest and this is only my personal opinion, that if you’re missus has her account sort code and account number then the account is open and no ID required - I can’t see them opening an account if they wanted to confirm ID first?
You could always send a £1 payment to her account and see if it goes through?
Have you checked spam/junk folders for any emails?“Hardware: The parts of a computer system that can be thrown out of the nearest window!”0 -
I signed up in the first 30 minutes of it being posted... still no codes today and the postman has just been! I really thought today would be the day!2

So all it would show is that the transfer hasn't been bounced, or not bounced yet.I'm hoping that the login information letters will arrive in a few days so we can be sure. But I definitely won't transfer more that a trivial amount into an account that I can't access.

For example, Cynergy is also offering 2.75 %.0 -
SpanishBlue said::I signed up on the day the 2.75% rate came out. I had a dormant savings account with £1 with them. I'm still waiting for the new savings account to be set up. Considering, the I had still all my sign in details - I wonder why it's taking so long.0

This account has probably had thousands all signing up since the launch so there will be lots of letters to print and post!“Hardware: The parts of a computer system that can be thrown out of the nearest window!”1 -

I can’t login to mine either until I get all the paperwork through so I’ve only sent £1 to confirm everything is good to go.“Hardware: The parts of a computer system that can be thrown out of the nearest window!”1 -
So, after applying through my account via the online website and getting the esaver open immediately, I thought I'd get my dad in on the act who also has a Santander 123 current account. He applied via the app but again seemed to get his account opened immediately.
It's a bummer some are finding it more difficult, even some with Santander accounts. I wonder if the fact we both have 123 current accounts made a difference?1
