Thank you for your reply. I'm glad that it's not just me then and going by their reply to you, they clearly know that some items do not include them. I was going to email them but I won't bother now. Thank you.

I've also had several with transponders not enclosed. I emailed them and got the following reply:

///We dispatched some items without the RFID attached, that's normal and also part of the test phase postings. You can report these letters just as usual, nothing to be sent back to us on this occasion.///

It's confusing because the covering letter states that one is enclosed; it would be helpful if they just crossed that out for the items without a transponder, but there we are.   :0)

I've had 3 out of the last 4 with no transponder.   Got another free book today - it's a small paperback in the genre known as "cosy mystery".

Missing transponders seems to be a regular occurence. Nothing to get excited about it seems.
My first book was a 'chilling story'. Had a school's address stamped inside both covers so was, no doubt, previously a library book. Must have been given to a charity shop as  it had a price ticket on it. Interestingly RM's revenue protection had been all over the package . All 5 stamps had been hand stamped and the amount paid was verified.

My Transponders to Return count has now disappeared - despite no news ones being received by Spectos and me literally just putting one in the postbox

I couldn't tally up my number of transponders to be returned with the number I'd received, the figure kept changing, so I messaged Spectos and got the following reply on 15th March:

///Please ignore these transponder notifications for the time being, there are still some technical issues to be fixed.///

I have a bundle to post week after next, but my 2 bundles apparently due to be posted next week haven't arrived yet.

Wouldn't be surprised if they disappear. Had this a couple of times.

I have received two or three without transponders, seems fairly common at the moment.
