I've received a test bundle of 2 DVD boxes (brown envelope-style cardboard). The enclosed paperwork states they are Royal Mail PARCELS, stamped, boxable, but they are Large Letters and pass easily through the LL slot.

Postage would be £3.60 as LL but there is £8.50 worth of 1st class stamps on both. Even if they were going as parcels, the stamped price would be £4.99.

Do I mention this to Spectos or shall I just pop them in the postbox and leave it to the recipient to deal with? TIA. x
I had the same thing with £8.50 worth of stamps on each. I just posted them in the post box as usual. Spectos must be losing a lot of money doing this though so might be worth letting them know.
As mentioned, just post what you are given to do. The recipient deals with the amount paid etc.
I doubt Spectos lose anything. All their postage costs will be paid for by RM.
    Agree with all you say.

Unfortunately this is potentially screwing up the data Spectos are trying to collect.

If it travels from A to B as a large letter then it doesn't generate "Small Parcel" handling figures IF that's what is intended.

Or of course exactly the reverse situation occurs cocking up the alternative results.

Back in the Kantar days I eventually got them to change the contents of Jiffy bags (small package) to make them much thicker so that they wouldn't go through the large letter slot and would not be treated as one.
They used to have about £4 of stamps on them - the correct amount at the time for that size of package - when a LL was just over a quid.

Similar to when people squeeze parcels into post boxes rather than take them to the post office, at least I assume they take longer in the system as they need to await to collection.

Finally got back onto the live panel in early May. Received the presention pack and stamps few weeks ago. Today I started to receive items and posting pack starting next week. Should I be expecting the normal June stamps soon or should they have been included in the 1st posting pack for June?

if you post it before the last collection time that's fine. You are actually doing it correctly if you post in the postbox and they dont come for last post. Then it shows up on their stats and feeds data back to royal mail that they postal workers are not doing their job.

I have a small business and I use postboxes, luckily they are always there for last collection - so please do use the parcel drop off boxes so you can keep send royal mail data on any missed collections.

I have been in the panel since mid January and haven't had anything to do since end of April. Based on my package schedule it seems that I was supposed to have 3 bundles to send out in May but I do not have any bundles to post at all.

They had a data breach - I wonder if it is that?

But it seems that other people here are not complaining about this and some people are being onboarded as well which is strange.

Mailagents are definately cutting out employees to save costs. Theyve been having a lot of technical issues - very slow app, very slow responses to support issues. I received a few items without any postage in the past - really weird. I've had one large letter sent to me with normal 1st class and I had to pay a surcharge to get it. But then they took foreveer to pay my surcharge. There's like 5 days delay in writing back to my replies - I eventually get the surcharge credited to my reward balance.

Before the support issues were very speedy.

I joined the live panel again at the end of April just after the data breach. I’ve been receiving bundles to post as per usual and got my welcome pack. I would raise a ticket about the missing bundles.

I had 5 incoming items yesterday - I think that's the most I've had in one go.  Or I wonder if any were delayed?  I'll see if I get a query...

It might be just me but does anyone else get niggled by the question "Does your postage look like this?" when it's stamped?  1st class has been always a KC3 stamp for ages but the app shows a QE2 whereas for 1st Large - it's the other way round.
I need to think of something new here...

It doesn't bother me. If the stamp has a qr code, a head, and says "1st" I always tick yes.

I had 5 incoming test items today too, think it's the most I've had in one go.

I was supposed to start at the end of March (having accepted at the end of January) but nothing ever happened. Support has been useless, continually telling me that I will start again when they have a place available (even though I already accepted a place months ago).
