You won't go on to a rest period until you have been an active panellist for six months. By the sounds of it you are still waiting for a space on the panel. If there are three people for one space you will have six months on, six months rest, six months wait....
Of course if you are on the panel you might not get anything to do but at least you get the stamps

I have been with them for quite a while.... never waited this long after a rest period tho

I was eligible to go back on the panel in February, got an invitation to apply for a space end of March and today got a parcel bundle to post in the middle of June, alongside a letter from them saying I'd finished my stint! I assume it was a mistake and should have been the welcome letter instead.

Annoyingly I am holiday for two weeks from Monday and have received invitations to take part in both CDM and UAL surveys starting on 2nd June.  Bang goes a nice 600 points ...

Last year I was put onto my rest period six months after the previous one expired, but only about three months after I had started back as active, since I had waited ages to go back to active. Of course they may have fixed things since then so it works properly.

Well it may be genuine or it might not. Be very careful.

Wouldn't it be related to Spectos rather than royalmail.com?
