Well done - you can do this, we promise - and I'm going to say that this is probably the second hardest point (the absolute hardest you've already ticked off - facing the issue and starting to put a plan in place to tackle it) too - so hold your nerve! Once the DMP is in place things will start running a lot more smoothly.

Hi guys.
Thank you.
Woking on the budget at the mo.
Unfortunately having to have my beloved cat of 14 years put down today so abit of a mess (she was bought when my mum died and predates my kids, so it's extra tough).
If I'm offline for a few days it's only because we are in a sad place.1 -

I've read this thread and I feel for you @NiteEyez1980 , in many ways it's a similar situation to mine that I've posted about although I do have more surplus income and aren't feeling the need to enter into a DMP right now but I just want to wish you all the best on your journey to get debt free and hope you're able to sleep a bit better , it's tough being in debt trust me I know that all too well. All the best
Oh and I'm sorry to read about your cat, pets are family and it's tough losing one so I hope you're ok1 -
Ahh I'm so sorry about your furry family member - it's always a tough time.🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

So sorry to hear about your cat. Companion animals are family and it is always hard when they go. Thinking of you.0

Thank u 4 your support.
I loved that cat so much.
Honeslty not just saying it but I couldn't have done this without you guys support.
I've lived in credit so long and whilst scary it was a path to destruction.
The companies endless upping of limits, and the spiral of "ill pay if off next month" has been the path to. Ruination.
For the first time in what feels like years I feel in control!

I know exactly how you are feeling now with regard the finances. Think most of is have been through the same. OH & I used to "rob Peter to pay Paul" and say things just like you...."we'll be able to pay it next month", or "when I find a better job" or something stupid like that. And you're right, you are in control now. Hope your wife is feeling better about it all now as well.Making the debt go down and savings go up
