Hello all, hope you're all ok today.
I'm still here achieving sweet little nothing, just been into town with DH to have flu jab. I plan to knit for the rest of the day.Spend less now, work less later.9 -
Three lots of washing, all done overnight (not enough sleep) blowing on line. Pillowcases already in and ironed along with the rest of the ironing-that-was-waiting to be done.
Been to meditation (kundalini) and breathwork this morning then stayed to do a few jobs (at work).
Came home, have made 2 banana cakes - I shall take one to the aged Ps

Afternoon all. Was about to put morning.
I had another lie in this morning but I have actually done stuff. I've made an apple pie and a rhubarb crumble, had a lovely soak in the bath, done dailies, hoovered through, done some prep for DGD2 arriving later and been for a long walk in the sunshine with Poppet.
Going to have a bit of a sort out in the greenhouse next. I was going to clean the car but have decided that's a man job this time!Spend less now, work less later.9 -

Afternoon from here as well. It should have been Morning, but I got distracted by a 5 mile walk with a friend. It was a walk that we used to run many moons ago, but now takes us a couple of hours. It was a glorious morning though, and the tree colours are beautiful.
A BIG apology from here for the lack of posting over the past week or few. RL seems to be getting in the way, which is no excuse. My minimal flying then seems insignificant to post. However, it occurred to me that I would really, really miss you all if this thread shut up shop due to malaise like mine. So here I am, back and ready to bore the life out of you…
- wm x 1 - still running, see earlier comment about being distracted…
- meal plan - on chair next to me, must get to it as the fridge is full of boxes. Boxes = (leftover) Prizes. Squid defrosting for tonight for a Spanish squid and chorizo recipe that I found on Friday. Part of the Freezer Clearance Campaign.
- 6 barrows of 💩 shovelled and wheeled from farm gate to allotment. Ok so that was DH, but I did do 7 loads of the same yesterday
- more apples rescued from other people’s windfall buckets. Yesterday I made an apple cake and a crumble, and apple sauce to go with roast pork. Nom nom.
Still to do…decorate the whole house, re landscape the garden, make things with the box of wool that seemed to land on my doorstep 😉, finish knitting my summer cardigan (yes, last summer, still not got to it). Hmmm, maybe I need to break that list down.
Wm has finished, off to hang it outside in the sunshine.
Love to all 😘 xx9 -
Hi all
My brother has just left to head home after a fantastic weekend. Big 45 mile cycle ride Friday, 6 mile walk yesterday, then 23 miles on the bike this morning. Nice meal out last night with all the family and it has been so lovely to spend time with him.
On the sofa with Strictly on catch up now, washing is in, some tidying up to do. Staying awake might be a challenge.9 -
Cor - I'm tired just thinking about all those miles YL - enjoy your Strictly catch up. 😊
I've been side-tracked. I'm actually decluttering. A box of stuff. Slowly. DS has been and left with a bag of 'stuff' including Primary School calendar for the year 2000, and his Baptismal candle!
I'm posting my progess on the decluttering thread as that seemed most appropriate- and I thought you'd all abandoned the thread, were chatting somewhere else, and had left me behind. Paranoid? Me? Yes, sometimes. 🥴
Wouldn't you think a 20 year old pack of balloons would have perished? Nope. But not sure how blowupable they actually are - I've only tried blowing one up a little bit as I'm not keen on balloons at the best of times! But the expensive pair of headphones that I knew I had somewhere- definite signs of perish there!
Joy of joy - I've been reunited with my secateurs. 😊

Drat, drat and double drat! I can’t seem to get Round in a quote box!Round - the flylady bus will NEVER go anywhere without you. Not least because we have you down as one of the nominated drivers 🤣. Oh and only you and Ionafan know the route…geography might not be my strongest point once I get half way up the M1 which I believe might mean that I miss quite a few of you.
Branch out by all means, but don’t leave us 😘. I bet DS is thrilled with his box of goodies 🤣.
Washing hung out, now back indoors as it is rapidly going chilly outside. HHI not done. It is mainly DH’s stuff, and I’m not sure he merits the electricity usage! Greenhouse pottered in, tidied, winter lettuce planted out. Yesterday’s apple cake taste tested - Somebody has to step up to the plate to do these things 😉. This is why my weekly slinky weigh in is showing me that I still have 1lb to go to get back to pre-holiday weight.8
