Hello, can I join in please? My house is really overwhelming me at the minute. I have a big list of things I’d like to do before Christmas but I need somewhere else to make me more accountable and you all seem so lovely.
So far today:
- One load of washing done
- Work to do list written for later - work is even more overwhelming than home at the moment. So. Much. To. Do.
- Meal planned for the weekend
- Shopping list wrote
- Tidied out fridge
- Pantry and cleaning cupboard inventories done
Before the paid stuff this afternoon I’d like to
- Dry clothes currently on horse
- Another load in the WM
- Empty bins
- Food shopping
- Tidy wardrobe shelves
- Collect parcel
- Wrap Christmas present that was delivered yesterday
- Take bags up to the loft
- 10 minute loft tidy
- Cancel subscriptions to audible and ancestry
- Make appointment to give blood
- Clean bathroom

Mine doesn't do emails.. on the phones 12-8 monday to friday... if it isn't children being loud he usually has a cat in the room walking on the laptop and yowling in his headset. Customers have heard them!
He logged in one day and the customer couldn't hear him.. he fiddled with headset and setting and reset everything.. rang his team manager, who also couldn't hear him.. turned out the cat had muted his mic walking on the laptop.. oops...
Unicorns are always welcome.. I hope you bring lots of magic with you.. we like a bit of rainbow sparkle round here..... that is an epic list.. baby steps.. it didn't get disorganised in one day.. don't burn yourself out!

Welcome to thechubbyunicorn - and thanks for the group compliment! For somebody who's holding down a job, that's an awfully long list you've got here. Be kind to yourself, and remember, better is good - you don't have to do everything in one day.
Well don kaz on finding a keen buyer who is also a good timekeeper.
After my early night, of course I woke up at silly o'clock and would love to go back to bed now, but I have Things To Do. Top of the list was to arrange for the collection of the chair which DH was loaned after his hip operation, which he no longer needs - I want to reclaim the space in the LR - but all their operators were busy, so now I have to wait for them to ring me back, grrr.
Half an hour has passed since I typed that last sentence, as the mum of one of my former primary school pupils rang me out of the blue (as she does about once a year). Her daughter is now 30, which makes me feel very old!
I must fly! Catch up later xx8 -
I have used every spoon I possessed to get a shower.. I am done in..
The washing is not getting hung out!

So, apparently, I should have had a blood test to check my chemo could go ahead so…
despite the telephone consultation with the oncologist on Tuesday and despite the treatment unit calling me yesterday (and presumably all having access to my records) no-one noticed I hadn’t had a blood test. So I’ve been sent home. Apparently they ‘tried to call 5 times’ about the bloods. Whipped out phone and shared calls log. 1. 5:28pm. No message left. (Can’t leave messages due to GDPR. What !!!!!!. They can easily say message for VALLI please can you ring (insert dept phone number/extension) and leave it at that - no breach there).Came home upset and angry in equal measure and have done what upset and angry people do. It took all my brave not to do it in the unit. In front of all the other patients and staff. I’m still wobbly.

Morning all xx
When I got in from work last night I FUPA two towels, FUPA two tea towels and FUPA the airer. Not much but it MAD.
I was awake early - fuming for Valli actually....not that that helps Valli in any way, shape or form. But I was doing it anyway.
I'm now up, made my bed, opened the curtains, taken my meds, unpacked my lunch bag, rinsed cans for recycling, and put all the dirty pots in the bowl. Amazing what you can do while you wait for the kettle to boil.
Two births and a death this week. The third colleague to die in a year - and all younger than me. Very sobering.
Had my flu jab at work yesterday- no adverse reaction. So far. Touch wood.
Mum's Taxi has been booked by DS and GF for later this morning. They're going on a STEN do to the races. Stags and hens together - never even knew it was a thing.
DS's friend is 30 today. So I want to dig out a photo and put it on Facebook when I wish him Happy Birthday. About 5 years old, wearing a crown, and riding on something plastic. That'll be the one 😊
Brew 2 and toast with marmalade next.
Welcome to the newbies. Love and hugs to the oldies.

Put out the rubbish and recycling

Weather forecast said showers today and sunny tomorrow- so I decided to leave the washing until tomorrow. It's sunny and breezy now. There will be Muttley muttering if it rains tomorrow!
