Hello all. I'm still here. I've been reading along but had nothing to post as I've just been doing essentials.
Today/ overnight I was looking after DGD2 so was woken up to lovely cuddles. Went for a long walk with her and DD and since they went home taking Poppet with them for an overnight stay, I have been shopping with DH to get a light weight rain jacket that doesn't make me look like Steptoe when I work in an actual office tomorrow.Spend less now, work less later.10 -
I have done my Mental Health First Aider course, stuck 2 spuds in the oven for DD and me during the break, so lunch has been eaten. We have bolognaise for tea. One of us needs to chop the veggies for tomorrow's SC meal ready for flinging in in the morning.
Washing is blowing on the line so that needs bringing in.
Well done on the in tray Honey Bear.
Jazee - essentials count too.

Late in today, but have been reasonable busy
Weekend was sorting DD1 apartment, starting to progress and she got bathroom undercoat on so should be looking better.
This morning was a late start as we slept late but both had had a bad night on Friday and Saturday so it was needed
WM on and now on airer
Forgot to put the meat I got out of the freezer last night somewhere safe like the microwave so this morning found no meat and a very contented cat! Lesson learnt and shopping done
Lovely long walk this afternoon with OH, exploring more of the coastal paths here. 14k steps done
Off to the very big city tomorrow to deal with a frog so on a very early train and back late. I've got travel coffee cups out ready and breakfast to take with us for on the train.
Hugs, sticks & spoons, help yourselves. Just don't forget to SMILE9 -

Morning all.
I have already sorted the bottom drawer in the kitchen - the one with the freezer bags/cooker hood liners/cling film/foil - while the kettle was boiling for my second cuppa of the day.
My other aspirations for today:
- breakfast (prepared by DH, as usual)
- shower and dress
- S&S kitchen
- FUPA clean washing that has been airing on the bathroom radiators
- S&S bathroom
- hoover quickly through downstairs and upstairs
- finish the very last bit of personal admin that's been driving me mad for months years - yes, there will soon be more, but other things need to be done first, and anyway the new stuff is far more enjoyable
- move an empty document file from my study to the kitchen and sort the guarantees (I need to look for the one for my soup maker, which has sadly died after less than a year)
- check that we've got spare torch batteries (thank you for the reminder, Valli)
- make Greek lemon chicken soup for lunch from the chicken carcass
- plant out last year's bulbs from the patio pots and chuck old packets of seeds in the gaps that were left when I finished weeding the bit of land alongside the drive yesterday
- start planting up the patio pots with new bulbs and check whether I need to buy any more
- shorten my new pyjama trousers and the sleeves of my fleece top, 'cos they're made for beanpoles and I'm more like a tree stump
- update my Toots list
- Rosie's walk
- serve left-over lasagne for tea - we have just about used up all the food that I had in stock when DH went into horse piddle a fortnight ago, so tomorrow I will clean the fridges before re-stocking
- put out black bin and garden waste for collection tomorrow
It looks a lot, but there's nothing very difficult or time-consuming. I just need to not procrastinate
Oooh - I've just had an idea about that bottom drawer! If I move most of the contents to the big baking drawer (which has already been decluttered and is now half-empty) I could store the hot water bottles in the small bottom drawer right next to where we fill them - and that will also save me sewing loops on them so that they could hang on hooks on the back of the kitchen door (which was never going to be an ideal place for them)
Hope everyone has a good day. (((Hugs))) and spoons on their way to you if needed xxx

Appointment with oncologist (telephone) decluttered. The phone woke me - she phoned WAY earlier than the letter said she would. I’m to have more white cell boosting injections, starting earlier on my next cycle. Good job I can do them. But it’s done now. I need to get up anyway as I am on SC prep this morning. But first coffee.

Progress! The soup maker was not dead - just hibernating (it has a thermostat cut-out)
And the hot water bottles are snug in their new home.
If it's gone, it's done. Still to do:
- finish the very last bit of personal admin that's been driving me mad for months years - yes, there will soon be more, but other things need to be done first, and anyway the new stuff is far more enjoyable
- check that we've got spare torch batteries (thank you for the reminder, Valli)
- make Greek lemon chicken soup for lunch from the chicken carcass [started]
- plant out last year's bulbs from the patio pots and chuck old packets of seeds in the gaps that were left when I finished weeding the bit of land alongside the drive yesterday
- start planting up the patio pots with new bulbs and check whether I need to buy any more
- shorten my new pyjama trousers and the sleeves of my fleece top, 'cos they're made for beanpoles and I'm more like a tree stump
- update my Toots list
- Rosie's walk
