    (scroll through the thread and you'll see why; DPD have had a legion of loyal marketeers posting about how fantastic they are for months (when their website has been online, that is!)- they get short shrift and rightfully so.)

    Not forgetting the many posts that have been removed because they were obviously those 'loyal marketeers' who posted them.

    i need to send a projector by post but want to make sure i get proper insurance cover (its worth in excess of £1000).

    Can anyone recommend an appropriate service and what sort of price i can expect to pay

    the maximum cover that most of these services seems to cover is £500

    its about80 cm x 60 cm 45 cm and would weigh about 8.5 KG

    just measured box - its actually 60 cm x 50 cm x 45.

    Special Delivery would be £21.45 inc up £1k cover. The max size is 610mm x 460mm x 460mm, so technically your parcel is too big but the person at the local PO may not notice...
