I've ran into an issue here:

You do NOT have to supply intrusive ID (intrusive = driving licence or Passport) so refuse that if they demand it, but you do have to show that you are the correct data subject. So attach a scan of your V5C if you still own the car, or if not, a utility bill to show your name and address.

I no longer own the car as it has been written off and ownership removed, my utility bill shows a different address than the one on the solicitor's letter (where the car was registered with DVLA). I have name/address for where I currently live, but none for the address the car was registered to (I don't live there). Only my driving license shows this.

Also should I make an account on the Gladstones Website?

I think you have to 'make an account' to contact Gladstones.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Strangely, I can't seem to register with my current address. Must have to register with my registered address...

You need to send a Data Rectification Notice to the parking company advising them of your current address and instructing them to adjust all records they hold to delete any old address and replace it with your new address.
You should include proof of your current address - a utility bill is good.
Insist that they instruct all their agent similarly.

Make an account on Gladstone's website?
    What on earth for?
    Are you considering paying them?
    Done! Thank you

Should I dispute the claim within the Gladstones solicitors website? I've sent a SAR and written an email to the solicitors.
There's a form on their website after I have logged in (and I have until 14th Dec to reply to form - plus however many days it takes for the SAR) - is this something worth doing in addition?

I don't really know what to write in the email to the MPs. I've found emails for both Birmingham and where I live. Please can you help?

Just put what you see in other threads where people are writing to (or have already written to) their MPs.

I haven't seen many threads detailing what they've put in writing to their MPs. I was just planning to write a brief email stating the scam private parking companies are running (especially the extra £70 bolted on to these 'original' charges, and to ask for their support by complaining to the landowner.

And mentioning the all party supported Parking (Code of Practice) Act and upcoming final Public consultation.  Whether your MP is in opposition or Tory, MPs attention should be drawn to the new law and regulatory regime.

If you don't know what I'm on about, you must read the later posts on the top Announcement thread by MSE_JC.  Get up to speed then you can start your MP email in more informed way in the introductory paragraph.
