Is anyone up for co-ordinating Secret Santa or Cards? I won't offer to do cards in case I'm unexpectedly confined to the house.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Hi all
All DS windows cleaned inside and out, hoovered downstairs, utility, DS loo and kitchen floor scrubbed, rhubarb crumble and cake made. Pears and apples gathered up and sorted. Just brought washing in, some needs to go over the airer, will do that later.
Went for a short walk on my own, a loop around the fields at the back of our house that I have done dozens of times on my own, field weirdly anxious. My anxiety can s_d right off with that one, I love walking on my own.
Watching the other half of Strictly on catch up, then will do a bit more.6 -
Lovely visit from DS and he's taken the lawn mower from the wooden shed. I'd forgotten it was in there. If it works he'll keep it, if it doesn't he'll take it to the skip.
I knew my ironing board was in there. But I'd forgotten my Ewbank sweeper. Also spotted a pogo stick amid a mountain of other stuff. And I mean a MOUNTAIN of other stuff.
Oh my days

all yesterday's laundry ironed
4 FOUR - yes 4 banana loaves made (for work - 2 with brown sugar & sultanas, nom nom - 2 with white sugar and chocolate chips (yukky to me; apparently it does taste good). I had to borrow 2 loaf tins from work so I could bake them all simultaneously.
Dinner made and apples finally turned into apple crumble - 2 small ones for there are only 2 of us here - so apples and crumble mix will be frozen separately for an easy pud when I am too tired to stand and cook (as per my cook 2 and freeze one motto) as DD too tired (from placement) to stand and cook also . we are both at home tomorrow (I'm wfh as I am on a course on zoom or teams or somesuch) so lunch will be jacket spuds (a Valli favourite) tea is to be bolognaise (from freezer so that is in the fridge to thaw). Tuesday will be casserole in SC and Wednesday chilli (SC) and both of these will yield leftovers - chemo Friday so I need some simple meals.
Just used a sheet mask - I seem to have built up a collection.
And whoever my Secret Santa was last year - your gift of soap etc has been with me in hospital twice now. Just thought I would mention it! As soon as I knew I would be going in I put it aside for that use.
I've also changed the fuse in lamp plug, changed battery in thermometer and tightened a cupboard door hinge, all of which meant I needed the toolbox out. I've washed, ironed and repaired the bag DD carries her placement uniform in.
Today's washing in off the line.

I just have a hovel .. it is just doom and gloom.. I don't even know where one pile of grot ends and another begins.
In order to start tidying my room I had to do 97 loads of washing, fill 2 binbags for DS1, clear some boxes under a bed downstairs.. I ran out of spoons about 1/4 of the way in and managed to put away a whole 3 pieces of clothing in my room.. Now OH is working in there all week so not a cat in hells chance of doing another thing until next Sunday by which time I will have 98 loads of washing and the entire house to vacuum and a tip run etc... my room will never ever have floor!
I'm going back to my knitting.. while I cry inside my head about the 7 loads of washing piled on my bed I have to put away before I can get in it!
