I've just paid my quarterly gas bill: July / August/ September £46.31. Based on my reading. I'm feeling extremely frugal right now....😇

Finally got Dot to school at 9:20new phone with a working battery delivered so I have spent 2 hours setting that up and eating snacks.. PAC inputted so that should be done by 6 tomorrow. *reminder to set up call divert*Postie not turned up yet with my parcelsI will go dangle out washing.I have had an email saying my new utility bill is generated but it is never available for another 2 weeks after than so I will sit on it a bit and not increase my weekly payments yet. I also had one saying I am in arrears but I am in fact in credit so they can go sing. I have things to get done this afternoon which require sitting in my chair so that will be fun.
I need to see if I have been allocated hospital appointments yet.. so I can cancel/rearrange to a suitable date and time.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)9 -

It’s like Paddy’s Market in here.
asking a very unwell patient (I am the least ill person in here) ‘what brings you to hospital?’ and expecting a description of symptoms and events seems somewhat optimistic. I might have been the only person not surprised by the answer of ‘my doctor’. I have been pressing my button for them, not for me.Anyway I blagged supper, which I was deprived of in the side room, so there are biscuits. Fruit shortbread, individually wrapped. And I have cake which DD sent in.
I have been given a sleep pack - earplugs and an eye mask. Maybe not waking me up ( and nearly scaring me to death) to take my blood pressure would also have helped. So I’m wide awake now, and as other patients have needed care over the last hour it is no longer dark or quiet enough.Anyway I now know that the bag DD sent in for me fits in the locker perfectly, so that’s been added to my ‘emergency’ list. I also know that if you push the lock on the medicine ‘draw’ (give me strength) it locks. Thank you Honey Bear9 -
Hugs to all of you, particularly those who are ill, have loved ones who are ill and those for whom life is just a bit too lifeish.
Much less time being spent on the internet here which is actually doing me good. More walking being done to try and sort OH back and help with weight loss (very slow but am 2 kgs less than before the summer so claiming success).
House still tidy, we bring a box back from storage and have to deal with it and can't have more stuff until everything has been found a definitive home.
Today's tasks are to get train tickets to go to the big city next week, I've been putting off doing this as I don't want to go and it's expensive, however it will be a big frog almost toad sorted.

Good morning all,
I’ve been cracking on with the usual Tuesday jobs, so bedding changed, wm x 2 soon to finish, hair washed and was tamed but now I look like Lenny the Lion again 🦁. I have just dusted downstairs, so will vacuum when I come off here. DH on calls so I will leave upstairs for another day, apart from the bathroom. HHI yesterday evening caused the smart meter to have a rave up, so ironing will now definitely be curtailed 😉. Win win.
I wrote today's list last night, and it included admin. I have gone off that job now.
Valli, let me know the treat of choice and I will stock up the WAC tin for you, or for the other patients if you get home today.
Stick and spoons by the back door, please help yourself. Hugs here for all xx8 -
Morning all. I was awake at 5.00 but went back to bed with a cup of tea, read for half an hour, then fell asleep again until my meds alarm went off at 8.15.
Hope you got a decent breakfast today, Valli xx
DH was feeling better again in himself yesterday, but a blood test has shown that there is a colony of streptococcus nestling somewhere in his lungs, so he is still on IV meds and will be kept in for a couple more days, giving me less to do, apart from visiting. Yesterday I called in at the little cafe before going along to the ward and bought a cup of coffee to take with me, which kept me awake and staved off the late-lunch hunger pangs nicely!
Today's aspirations list:
- ring to check time of my appt next week
- pull up weeds from the driveway border
- empty bins and put out recycling
- visit DH
- Rosie's walk
- more work on the cane toad and tadpoles - getting there slowly
Love and (((hugs))) to all xxx9 -
