TY YL.. My insides are feeling better and I'm not sure whether the pain is a fair trade off for having a happy inside... It seems to be one or the other.
Dance class and Tesc0 done
Shopping to put away and lunch then it is swimming time.
Tomorrow I MUST tidy my bedroom so I am not doing anything else after swimming in the hope I can retain a spoon or 2 for tomorrow.

Trying to follow the FL app, so have blitzed the kitchen this week. All cupboards inside and out and purged/tidied. Fridge freezer defrosted, pulled out and cleaned on the back and beneath (hadn't been since it was bought in 2018 yuck!!) and found a big house spider in the process. All appliances cleaned inside and out. Only job left is a good old floor scrubbing!

Hello, I’m still here…
Yet another week of minimal flying. This morning’s plan to clean upstairs was scuppered by it being such a lovely autumn day.
Work is stupid busy - as soon as I see a chink of light which might mean that I can get to the -ahem- controlled backlog, another deadline gets dumped in my direction. I’m getting a trifle fed up with it all now.
This morning DH and I went autumn harvesting at the allotment - last of the apples, runners and courgettes, the winter squashes (hardening off in the gh now), more spinach (must feature heavily in next week’s meal plan) and a huge bunch of dahlias.
In the kitchen, I have turned the beetroot goulash into a soup - much better. That is lunch for Monday and Tuesday sorted. A focaccia is brewing to make use of the oven this evening when I have it on for its weekly stint.DH (and because he always needs “my input”, me as well by default) has spent the afternoon tidying up my potting area of the garden - posh name for the corner of the patio outside the downstairs toilet window!! He has an ulterior motive as he wants to use part of it. This is why the house still needs a million and one jobs done.
Hugs to all xx. Pigpen, help yourself to a couple of my spoons, I’m good for spoons for the weekend x7 -
Hello, I'm still here too - keeping up with the thread but not posting much. My life is very unexciting atm.
Welcome, flamingo, and well done on the kitchen purge.
I hope you're feeling a bit better this evening, pigpen. You're welcome to some of my spare spoons.
Fayolle, I joined you in the garden this afternoon. I harvested the last of our 14 beautiful, crunchy, juicy russet apples and 8 conference pears (sizes from miniscule to below average), cut back the Albertine climbing rose, and weeded half of the narrow strip of our NNN's land alongside the drive, where my Michaelmas daisies are blooming as if there never was a drought.
Other than that, I have
- completed all the paperwork I wanted to finish this weekend, so tomorrow I can email the files to their new custodians
- had a few zzz after lunch (Rosie had woken me up at 04.40)
- chatted to DD and DS1
- walked Rosie
- cooked lunch and tea
- watched some Strictly.
DH also managed a walk, but without Rosie. Other than that, he sat for most of the day. I did not spot him doing his exercises!
(((Hugs))) all round xxx6 -
I have ironed lots of what was pegged out today, but both lines were full which means 2 maidenfuls of ironing.
Been to see the aged Ps, niece was there with her 3 and the middle one cheered when he saw me and ran up for a hug. Eldest doesn’t do hugs/affection and I don’t force myself on unwilling children, but we did chat. Youngest one not familiar/comfortable with us yet thanks to not seeing us for months = thanks covid.
I have also procrastinated once again and my personal paperwork/spreadsheets are developing into cane toads…

dare I utter the words .. christmas cards and secret santa?
A few boxes in my room reshuffled.. we are discussing making the middle room a proper bedroom for Moomin and friend.. and moving Squeak and Dot to Moomins room and leaving Pixie and Twinkle in the big room.. This would give the big 2 a LOT more space and get Dot back used to sleeping upstairs and it is a huuuuuuge job which would require everyone chipping in.3 parcels parceled and ready to be collected.1 item to send to DD1 to return.. a lovely dress but they didn't have my size so I bought asize too big and I look like I am wearing a flowery binbag.. not at all flattering.
Tomorrow I am still intending to tidy some of my pit.. but I am in spoon deficit.. dance, shopping swimming, laundry, all the paperwork.. and I need to change Squeaks latest hospital appointment.. I'm done..LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)9 -
Morning, lovely sunny morning here (lobs Pigpen a few spoons).
How lovely that your nieces little one was so pleased to see you Valli.
Cant shake the sore throat, day at home doing a few jobs I think. Have washed DSs cricket whites and hung them out, another load in. Might try and get a bit of a walk in later.8
